I don't think Best Boss Music is specific enough. Maybe Best Final Boss Music or Best Third Boss Music or something like that.

So are we excluding Final Boss music because that's a whole other tournament entirely in my opinion

@Void - I would have also suggested best song from a specific franchise but I think that's the general idea behind the new thread he made.

Huh, I guess I forgot about that thread, and with something like boss battle music that would give a wide range of possible canidates, I think there should be a limit, of some kind, to prevent it being 90% Megaman music.

There's only one (maybe two) boss themes from each Mega Man game though, since they're identical for each Robot master.

Oh, I haven't played any of the Megaman games, I don't really know why, I just never get around to it, I assumed that the themes which were named after the boss would actually be played when you fought that boss.

As for voting,
1) Castlevania - Vampire Killer.

2) Earthbound - Onett.

I used to travel the stars, then I discovered Earth, and these incredibly addicting things called 'Video Games.'
And they said you couldn't buy happiness!

What the heck is the difference between a regular boss and a Final Boss?

Generally, final bosses go through multiple forms, can take more damage than the bosses you've fought to that point, have a lot of powerful attacks, are much more epic, the credits roll after you defeat them, and, they usually have one, or more, really awesome songs.

The same difference between a level theme and a first level theme.

1. Castlevania - Vampire Killer
2. Wario World - Greenhorn Forest

I make Pixel Art on occasion, and sometimes sell them as Game Assets.

Here's an example many will probably get.
Boss Theme:

Final Boss Theme:

Other examples might be the Gym Leader theme from a Pokémon game but not the Champions theme (You get the idea).

1) Super Mario World - Overworld
2) Castlevania: Rondo of Blood - Bloodlines

At this point its only fair for me to give an advantage to those games which actually have levels.
