Do some of you just vote for songs because you haven't heard the other? I think listening to both songs should be a rule for this thread even though there wouldn't be a way to stop anyone from not following it but it would be more fair if everyone did that. I hadn't heard C. Viper's theme before but I really liked it and I thought it was better than Doopliss' battle theme which I had heard before so I voted for that. Also, I hadn't heard Wily stage 1 from MM10 or Opening stage from MMX before and I initially thought the latter was better but I also really liked the former and after listening to it a few more times, I decided that I liked it better and changed my vote.I don't see why listening to both would be a problem. The songs are only a few minutes long and you can open up another tab while listening to the song to do other things while you listen to it.

I listen to them all before I vote; what I initially thought I'd vote for has even been different from what I actually ended up voting for a couple of times.

Um, not really. Maybe we just enjoy different music than you?

C. Viper's Theme was good, but the way Doopliss's theme captures the essence of eeriness sounds great to me.
Preference, it exists, and plays a role in these decisions.

As much as I hate to see Dry trail losing, that wasn't the reason I said what I did. Due to Retro_on_thego only voting for one of the current match-ups, I thought it could be because he hadn't heard either of the songs and I didn't want to aim that comment at him as I could have been wrong so I just bought that up in case that was how some people were voting. I guess I could have said it in more relaxed manner that didn't seem like a huge rant so sorry about that.
