From the creator of Law and Order: Nintendo Victims Unit brings you a new series called The Nintendo Zone. This is a parody of The Twilight Zone which involves Nintendo stories. Please enjoy these somewhat frightening tales.

Episode 1: NES Friend Codes
In the alternate universe of 1985, NES was brought home to all the curious children with the discovery of Super Mario Bros. Just like in our universe, the game is so much fun. However in their universe, the children who wanted to try out the 2-player experience will awaken a horrifying journey towards frustration. In the manual, there is a Friend Code that must be input on someone else’s Super Mario Bros game cartridges. That is not good news for siblings who only own one copy and wanted to play together.
In the alternate universe of 2010, the seventh-generation consoles continue to shine. These consoles are Xbox 360, PS3, and Dreamcast 2. Nintendo no longer exist because of the NES Friend Codes.

Episode 2: IGN Zelda Movie
In our universe of 2008, IGN created a movie trailer of The Legend of Zelda. Luckily for us it was just an April Fools prank. However for those in the other dimension, it is not a joke.
The Legend of Zelda movie was promising; however, when the fans witness the world premiere in theaters their hatred grow even after the movie was over. Taylor Swift was the voice of Navi but her only dialogue was “Hello” and “Listen.” The actor who plays the role of Link looks like an adult version of Michael Cera, ugh. Oh, and Danny Devito was Tingle (How much more prove do you need).
Shigeru Miyamoto decided to close down IGN forever. He has the power to do that, because he’s awesome.

Not to long ago in our world, Disney releases a trailer of the new Winnie the Pooh movie. What’s so special about the trailer is not just the nostalgia trip; it was the soundtrack that was playing during the trailer. That soundtrack was “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane. The combination with that song and our childhood characters, made a beautiful impact to those who are familiar with “Winnie the Pooh” series.
In the other dimension, “Winnie the Pooh” trailer doesn’t use that song because someone already us that idea for something else. At the Nintendo Conference of 2009, “Somewhere Only We Know” was playing during “Metroid: Other M” trailer. Unlike in our world, the latest Metroid game sold millions to Wii owners because of that song. No one care about the annoying monologues or the operable doors without the need to shoot at them. No one care because of the trailer brought back the almost forgettable song that was release 6 years ago.
But where’s the frightening tale about this dimension? “Metroid: Other M” sold overwhelming amount of copies. So that must be a good thing right? WRONG! Nintendo assumes that it was Samus’s monologue that what made the game popular. Nintendo decided to have all Nintendo protagonists to have never-ending monologue in the future games.
Note: That Keane song does indeed fit well with the first Other M trailer (on mute that is).

In this reality, many people don’t seem to care about OtherL whenever he posts wonderfully creative materials in the Forums. In the alternate reality, OtherL is known as the King of General Discussion. Nintendo Life only worships his threads and locks the rest. Here are some of his fabulous works in the alternate reality:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (my alternate ending)
Harry Potter did not defeat Lord Voldemort because he didn’t destroy all of the Horcruxes. Mario’s missing hat that was stolen from a Luma in Super Mario Galaxy 2 was the eighth Horcrux. Don’t ask me how Voldemort was able to obtain Mario’s hat. And Harry’s Patronus Charm wasn’t a stag but a paratroopa.
Zelda-nature (crossover of The Legend of Zelda and Supernatural)
The Winchester brothers are hunting a Zora. They have successful capture a male Zora. During the integration, they realize that it was Link wearing a Zora mask all this time. Since Dean Winchester doesn’t care about a man who wears a green tunic, Dean steals the Master Sword from Link in order to destroying Lucifer. Sam Winchester argues to his brother that Link needs the Master Sword more than they do. I forget how it ends.
However, all is not well for the OtherL. After creating hundreds of stories for the site, he forgot the most important project. He forgot to continue writing Law and Order: Nintendo Victims Unit, his first creative project ever. He tried to go back to it but his twisted mind wants to focus on something else.
Gosh. I don’t like this alternate reality anymore.
