Was thinking about how people keep talking about Apple possibly being the next big company to release a console and try to enter the gaming market. But I could really see Samsung making an attempt at it eventually. Who do you guys think will be next?

I can't see Crapple entering the industry. I'm not a fan anyway so my opinion is biased. Samsung.... naw.

Well samsung is meant to be getting on board game wise with their smart TV's anyway, also wheren't they rumoured to be releasing a handheld console at one point? was meant to be targeted at the South Korea market and play mostly MMO's.

I am quite interested in the ouya not sure if it can succeed but hope it does, has the potential to be indie gaming heaven and the console seem to have a bit of momentum behind it.
If an Apple console is prices similar to Apple Macs and devices, then I doubt they could be competitive.
I know hey, just like people thought the Macs, iPods, iPhone and iPads were all too expensive to be competitive.
Too expensive for you =/= too expensive for hundreds of millions of other people.
An Apple console (or just a controller add-on for the iOS devices) would be very popular.
Hasn't there been tons of controller add-ons that haven't done any major impact at all? Not sure if Apple has made one of there own though... Also, couldn't you say that the iPad/iPhone is sort of Apple's console? It's not gaming dedicated but i does have a hell of alot of games.

I don't think there will be another major player and if someone makes an attempt at becoming one they will fail (even apple) and I don't think OUYA will will ever become a major player.
