So we here in the US have 2 more weeks before the new episodes start airing on BBC America, but i'm curious to hear reactions from you Brits out there on the premiere that aired tonight! How is Smith in the role? And how is the new ginger companion (beyond being exceptionally cute)?
I'm in the U.S. and have been watching the new season on BBC America. Matt Smith is doing a great job so far and I'm loving Karen Gillan as the adorable Amy Pond!
I too am loving Matt Smith in the role. He's a bit lighter than Tenant, but in a good way; Smith's got his own little touches (like hitting the arrogance and frustration of The Doctor that Tenant didn't play up as much) and it won't be long before he's fully made the character his own.
And damn is Karen Gillan hot. Of course, i have a thing for redheads as well as girls with any kind of UK accent. And in the "policwoman" uniform in the first ep? drool =D
