Topic: The new AVGN?

yello, everybloody. im pretty sure you guys all know who the Angry Video Game Nerd is. If youre a gamer on the internet and you DONT know who he is, then you must be living under some virtual rock (oh and if you decide to search him up after this, please note that his videos are definitely NSFW and include brutal language). and if you know him, you also know that hes been on a bit of a decline as of late. his humors getting more stale and videos are becoming more and more scarce, but i think that ive found a guy that can pick up the ball where James kinda dropped it.

enter Jontron. in essence, hes pretty much the same as the AVGN. he reviews bad games and... gets angry, but he also does top 10s and other miscellaneous stuff. his humor is fresh and is still original and he has good cinematography. his videos are really good, so i encourage you to check him out. hes been around for about 1 month and already has 850 subscribers. (also, his videos are more appropriate, but also include language and are NSFW)

The AVGN getting more stale? Declining? I think not! He's just as hilarious as ever! Sure he may be doing less episodes per month, but they are just as good! Loved his Action 52 review!

Still, I think I'd like to see this new guy. Sounds interesting.

hmm, i´ll check it out, but as far as AVGN goes, i don´t know, a lot of his reviews still make me choke in laugh but yeah some of his jokes are not so funny.

I enjoy James' movie recaps and original stuff just as much as his AVGN series.

Oh, yeah. I found out about JonTron a few days ago. Definitely worth a watch on Youtube.

@Swiket I was seriously cracking up over that video. Haven't had a good laugh like that in a long while.

I must admit: AVGN and JonTron are 2 way different reviewers. They are both really great, and I can see JonTron achieving greatness along with the likes of AVGN.

He has existed since the dawn of gaming and will exist untill the end of gaming, although he has taken the form of the angry video game nerd he is all gamers as he is no gamer and so he is the angry video game nerd.

AVGN on the decline? Hah! AVGN was never funny in the first place.

Say what you will, but I find AVGN's videos to be pretty hilarious.

Same here, too. And I don't think the quality of his videos is declining, if anything they're getting better.

AVGN is absolutely stale. At this point I really don't know what's his target demographic.
I didn't even smile a single time at his Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde review.
The scene where he "transformed" into Mr. Hyde was absolutely lame, just as the rest of the review and just as any review he made in 2010.

I actually prefer the newer AVGN videos. I never found his old videos to be entertaining in the slightest, but the newer ones actually seem clever and make some good points outside of silly nitpicking.

AVGN is still good. I mean, did you see the glitch episode? I couldn't stop laughing.
