Topic: The Mega Man Fan Club

My other MM thread dealing with only MM4, 5, & 6 has turned into a Fan Club of sorts, so I've decided to just start a new one solely for that purpose. Any further thoughts about the quality of those 3 games can still be posted there, but this topic is for every game, including 4, 5, & 6.

This is the place to talk about anything Blue Bomber-related, from the Classic series all the way up to Star Force. Chat about favorite songs, bosses, weapons and anything else you can think of.

Beep.
That is all.

Why no MM Universe for Wii? I hate that.

I like Mega Man, especially the NES Mega Man games. The music is especially great. I'm guessing everyone knows this tune:

I'm back (for the moment)!

MegaStoneSmash91

@Rensch: I never even heard much about it, so It doesn't bother me.

Is this thread gonna include the Mega Man X series of games as well (as well as other Mega Man-related series)?

To each their own

This thread is about ANYTHING Mega Man related.

I'm back (for the moment)!

@PunnyGuy: Ah yes, the tune everyone loves. It is such a good song.

My favorite game of the original series is MM4, but I think I'm the only person here who LOVES the Battle Network series.

I never really got into the Battle Network series but from what I read it reminded me too much of Megaman meets Pokemon. It might be a good game but the idea of it just doesnt interest me. MM4 was good indeed I just finished that one for the first time about a month ago. Its in my top 5 Megaman games.

My favorite all time Megaman song.

And here is a pretty good remix of it not sure if they ever covered Spark Mans in the complete works.

That could not be farther from the truth. It's more like Mega Man meet Yu-gi-oh meets some grid-based game I never heard of. The combat is actually really fun, fast-paced, and strategic. It's also quite challenging at times, which should be expected of a Mega Man game, though I'm not fond of the high encounter rate. Honestly, it's a good series that's really fun in short bursts (as portable games should be), and I highly recommend trying it out (avoid BN4, though).

Finally, SOMEONE who likes what I like! 6 was my favorite (the Cross System was perect), and I agree that 4 was one to avoid (nothing made any sense and there was way too many pointless locations).
One more thing to note: in keeping with the MM tradition, the Battle Network games can be insanely hard at some point (especially BN6's Post-Game).

Ok still the Yu-gi-oh aspect doesnt appeal to me either, still its cool that you enjoy them. I dont know about the original series being difficult I never had any trouble with the games. Then can be hard though if you dont know what order to go in.

I was going to post this in the other thread, but I've noticed that there are certain bosses that are actually easier to fight with the mega buster than with their weakness. Using the weakness might lead to a faster kill, but I tend to have better luck with a no-damage run if I use the mega buster on these guys.

Are there any strange ones that you find it easier not to use the weakness?

1: Guts Man, Bomb Man
2: Metal Man, Crash Man, Heat Man
3: Top Man
4: Toad Man, Ring Man, Dive Man, Dust Man (I do a lot of mega-busting in this one...)
5: Gravity Man, Wave Man
7: none...the weaknesses are pretty crippling in this one
9: Galaxy Man
10: Blade Man

Haven't played 6 or 8 yet. :/ But I will! I have the AC, but haven't gotten around to them.
