@Daniel36 Actually Trials was only originally single player, it wasn't untill a few fans created a patch for the ROM to make it multiplayer via emulators that it became multiplayer so that way it would appeal more to Secret of Mana fans.

The Treehouse demo of Trials of Mana sold me on it, I want to get the collection but I’ll wait and see if I can snag a physical copy.
One doubt, though, is it better to play FFA or sword of Mana in the GBA? The second is a remake of the first, but from what I’ve read it didn’t have very good reviews.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

@Luna_110 Sword of Mana changes more than enough to be considered it's own thing. I'd also argue it's a worse game, and a lot of its ideas fell flat, or just weren't good ideas in the first place.

@Multifists Ok I could be wrong, could of sworn that Seiken Densetsu III was only single player originally. From what I read the remake will be as well which if it was originally 2 players strikes me odd as to why the remake would be one. Regardless I know it wasn't three player untill the fan patch.

Anyone know if the Japanese physical edition will play in English once the western version is released?

You guys had me at blood and semen.

Doubtful. Not many games get an English patch post release. It's usually either available day one or not at all. The only exception I can think of is Cube Creator X, which received an English patch about six months later.

@Tasuki Just wondered if there was much of a track record of JAP games getting patched once an english was published. I was watching an ebay listing for the collection as it was cheapish, but it's finished now anyway.

Seiken Denetsu 3 is literally one of my favorite games of all time
I hope this remake keeps a lot of the classic charm of the original

I'm so excited to play it

Who did you guys use as your trio?
I used Angela, Hawkeye, and Riesz back in my 1st playthrough

How's that SoM remake? (sorry if it's been asked before)
Never got around beating the original, the IA partners could be kinda annoying sometimes.

I meant Secret of Mana with SoM. It came out last year.

@Vinny Oh ok, yeah that wasn't a remake, just a translated port of Seiken Densetsu III. The remake comes out next yearish.

The moment they announced it was releasing in the US I picked up a Japanese physical copy like I’ve done at least a dozen times before. Once it’s live on the eshop it normally recognizes that I’m using a American unit and shifts to English but it’s not working with this game for some reason. What should I do?

@faint Once again Trials of Mana never had an official English translation till now I doubt the Japanese version even has it.
