Topic: The LOL/Random Posts Thread

So, I was browsing the forums and found a few random/LOL posts so I thought we should have a random post thread. There's already a random/LOL images thread, so why not?

Yeah, I can't help but feel this is not a good solution. I don't see the harm in the occasional joke thread (it's really not that common), nor do I see a thread like this really working out since it's purpose is to be unfocused, which means it won't really be "random" since it'll be expected. It probably won't stop people from making those threads, it'll just stop people from having fun in them. If things really get out of hand, Perhaps we need a new forum section for joke threads and forum-games? Otherwise, I don't see why we can't leave them in General Discussion. In fact, we have a Chit-Chat thread that could be used for general jokes, but that thread has been fairly underused, due to, you guessed it, the general lack of focus of that topic...do we really need another thread like that?

Sorry, but we already have the chitchat and funny pictures threads, also, this doesn't seem like the kind of thread that would end well anyway.

In the case of random threads like Sanya's, unless they become a problem, just let them be. They usually die soon after they start.
