Any hard game I've played is easy when I'm patient and clever. Just stopping to take in the level design can make a big difference. I haven't beat Ninja Gaiden III, but I haven't played it, either! Ninja Gaiden, Zelda II, Castlevania, Meat Boy, Ghosts & Goblins, & Megaman were all great fun and not much frustration ^^
Try VC Arcade Ghosts n Goblins. Its the true game. Try and play it slow you will run out of time. Try and use cheap tricks to avoid enemies and it won't work. Every part has to be fast and perfect.

What's this patient and clever crap? If you're not playing the game full tilt then you're playing the game wrong!
Played (besides NG3) and beat every one of those games I mentioned, besides maybe Ghosts n' Goblins. I beat it once, playing the game twice to really beat the game is just stupid, especially when the ending is completely not worth it.

You don't get the real ending to Castlevania without going through it twice either. (And the proper last boss / The hard version of Shank).

That I didn't know, but I probably won't do it. Impractical.

I never managed the last boss of Illusion of Gaia (Or at least I think it is the last the second to last was some mummy kind of thing that I managed eventually but the one after that I never did).
