First played the GameCube in 2004 when i was 6. First Game? Hmmm...I don't know for sure but I think it was a Sonic Game. I think it was either Sonic Adventure DX:Director's Cut, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle or Sonic Heroes.

I love Nintendo! They Rule!

Really good thread idea! I liked reading these, especially Slapshot's and Twilight Crow's.

Playing Duck Hunt with my friend Mischa is my earliest memory of an Ninty console. Later on, my parents would make me attend their boring office christmas parties at someone's house when I was a kid. We were all miserable until the daughter invited us all to her room to play her n64. It became a tradition for years that on Christmas Eve, we'd all play GoldenEye and murder each other.

I can only remember playing Super Mario Bros. on the NES back when I was little. After that Sonic 2 stole most of my childhood

To preempt any uncomfortableness in this thread, please, sonic fans, try to resist the urge of making deviantart pix of Sonic robbing irken of his childhood... thank you.

The Goldeneye Christmas story is priceless! Did you ever get a chance to play the vastly superior Perfect Dark?

I was like 5 or 6 when I firs played video games, I remember growing up with the original green brick that was the Game Boy Pocket (until I gave it to one of my cousins, so now I have both the GBC and GBA). Super Nintendo, however, was the first Nintendo console I had played.

To each their own

During the summer of '87. My friend sold me all of his Atari 2600 games because he had something much better. I was happy with Pitfall and Ms. Pac Man until I went over his house and played Metroid - or basically watched him play. He only let me play once and I died right away. After that, another friend let me come over to play Super Mario Brothers. I got an NES for Christmas that year.

Wow, Pitfall and Ms. Pac Man are great, but they do seem primitive when compared to Metroid and Super Mario Bros. Great stories folks keep them coming....
