Im a sucker for John williams. Also every composer to the original mega man games and mega man x1. But outisde of movies and video games I listen to anybody on Strange Music.
Least favorite: Almost any country singer besides dolly parton and willie nelson
Currently Playing: Smash Bros, Ducktales Remastered and Bayou Billy
Youtube: PlatTheFormer
Steam: PlatTheFormer
Favorite: Koji Kondo. Guy can make music. Super Mario Galaxy, 3D World, Wind Waker. The guy has a talent for some great music.
Jake Kaufman. He doesn't have a hard hitter other than this one.
But he's made tons of great songs. You can thank him for all the Shovel Knight Music for example.
Least favorite: My younger brother. He takes pride in his dubstep, but I really don't like it.
My gradeschool band spent an entire year doing his songs, and at my previous job they had a few of his songs that played every bloody day for like two years. I swear if I hear Puttin' On the Ritz one more time I'm likely to break my desk in half with the repeated impact of my face.
Today's topic is Operating Systems. (Look, I'm trying to make give this thread some variety. ) Any type of OS, wheather it be for computers or mobile devices.
My favorite is actually Windows 8. I loved my XP, but Windows 8, despite the learning curve, has a lot of great and easy to use features. It's really fast, and I actually like the Metro start menu, it makes finding programs much easier than the giant list XP had, since I can sort everything out how I want it, or just do a quick search. (Which was also on XP)
My least favorite is Windows Vista. When my family had that OS, I always remember it being slow and annoying. In fact, we eventually downgraded back to XP. (We got the new XP for free from some friends, but still) Granted, I'm pretty sure the Vista we got was a cheap one with barely any RAM or anything.
Favorite: Mac OS X Tiger. I guess I just have the most memories with that one, and it added a ton of new features I could play around with.
Least Favorite: Tie between Windows Vista and Windows 8. At least 8 is somewhat functional, but it's still rather shoddy. Microsoft's attempts to emulate their Surface OS is the wrong way to do it. Apple is doing a better job of connecting the Mac with the iPad and iPhone through Mac OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.

Windows XP was simple enough while being easy to navigate an still had enough features to do what I wanted without a ton of hassle.
Linux is a clusterf*** that was programmed only to please other programmers. It's systems are overcomplicated because what those people want isn't an enjoyable browsing experience, but a huge puzzle for them to solve. Consumer satisfaction isn't even considered, because the end user is expected to do most of the work.

You haven't used Linux in years, have you? The above was true until probably the mid-2000s. Nowadays, there are several distributions of Linux that are easier to set up than maintain than either Windows or Mac.

As for me...
Favorite: Mac OS X
Least Favorite: Windows ME
Okay, I'll admit my knowledge is outdated, but why should I trust a computer geek on what is and isn't user-friendly to an average person?
Linux is a clusterf*** now because people started doing any old rubbish infact in many ways it is like XP. (Loads of good and bad ways to do everything nothing is the same as anything else. Why fix the existing one when you can make a new one). Funnily enough whilst Linux is become more and more like XP. Newer versions of Powershell have more in common with the fundamental idea UNIX was based on (But a more modern approach to it).
The BSD's are better - consistent and well documented. There is a small set of rules after which everything else works exactly the same.
Favourite - Plan 9 (No corner cases like Linux/BSD/UNIX everything is the same all the time).
Least Favourite - Mac OS X. (Doesn't support focus follows mouse like any decent UNIX - I use it without autoraise - click to raise). Or Windows (With the simple registry hack).
