No clickbait or anything like that. Some might know this but if you don't. http://shmalexsmirsch.tumblr.com/
I didn't want it to go on like Spongebob, but at least a Season 3
That's fine. The creator had a vision and isn't compromising on it. I respect that.
I agree. The show and the many pieces of its larger puzzle were planned out very carefully. No sense throwing all that out the window for another season.
Haven't seen Gravity Falls since the end of season 1. It's sad to see a pretty good show go away. @Latsaofpizza Oh, so Bill did end up being a key character later on. I mean, I figured he would have 3 or 4 episodes dedicated to him, but becoming a major character?
Also, what happened to mabel? She was half of the shows humor.

This is sad, since I like the show, but I respect the creator for knowing how long it should last(as opposed to running it into the ground, ie the Simpsons/Spongebob).
I basically agree with the above comments, that while it's saddening to see what in my opinion is pretty much the only decent animated series left on TV, at least the show will be ending on a high note instead of being milked to death with more and more season renewals, as was the case with SpongeBob, Fairly OddParents, maybe Adventure Time, and so many other shows. We'll look back on Gravity Falls years from now and remember how thoroughly amazing the series was from start to finish, with it's wonderful sense of humor, surprisingly intricate plot line, wonderful voice acting (Alex Hirsh's role as Bill Cipher is literally the best thing ever) and pretty animation. It won't be one of those shows that slowly starts to deteriorate in the quality of writing as it keeps getting greenlit for more episodes and makes us think, "Ugh, when'll they finally cancel this show? It should've ended forever ago!"
@MrMario02: Bill but no Mabel? I know what episode you're watching. I think that's actually the only episode she doesn't appear in at all.
That's because Bill has her captive.
Actually, I haven't seen any gravity falls since the defeat of Gideon
