I honestly have to say I like hearing the sentimental ones the best because they're often just so...random and sometimes heart-warming. Bragging about collecting seems better suited to the "retro" thread (or, you know, not really suited to anything because, like, bragging).

For me it's my Boulder Dash games. I got into the series when it came out for the Wii VC and then I was CRUSHED to learn that they rarely come out here (i.e., in North America). So what I've been doing is buying the ones I could reasonably play on my non-region locked consoles. I've never imported before! It's neat.

ive gave this comment some thought for a while and my conclusion is, that thread isnt for everybody. but either way people check it for some reason or another. ill speak on it because of some of the games i have. im proud i have rare games. i think its cool to see others score games they want, rather rare or not, it makes me happy to see people accomplish things and share it with people with the same goals/interests. when i see my buddies in that thread get games theyve been after it makes me think "oh, okay, i see so and so got this, thats awsome, i know thats a hard game to come by, or thats an expensive game, congrats." i can guarantee you i have a sentimental story behind every game i own

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Well, actually the OP clearly stated that this thread is for bragging about rare, high value games. Technically the sentimental ones don't even count. Maybe we should have a thread for games with less tangible value? Because I agree that it would be a much more interesting thread.

For me, it's my CIB Kingdom Hearts collection. I got all of the Final Mixes and Limited Editions, for whatever title that had them. I can't wait for the third one, which is almost the only reason I bought a PS4.

My (noticeably-weared) steelcase edition of Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Not because its rare or can get me some extra cash, but because it has 3 of the greatest games I've ever played (Prime 3 is my favorite, most-beloved game of all time!) collected together on one disc, with quite a bit of bonus content as well!

I remember when I pre-ordered it at GameStop and found out I'd get a free t-shirt with it; then finding out later that on Amazon you could get a poster instead for pre-ordering it. I was pleasantly suprised to find out I got both when I went to pick MPT at GameStop on launch day!

I also remember that year my high school was having a teacher's strike. So even though MPT came out at the end of summer, I got an extra week or so to enjoy Prime 3 (I hadn't fully played it yet since I got a Wii earlier that year, but already completed Primes 1 and 2 on GC.)

Definitely my most treasured game, as well as gaming experience!
