Mario party looks really fun. Has an old school Mario party feel which is good, it's what we've been asking for.

I half-listened to today's live broadcast and watched tiny pieces of it while working. I'll go back and watch the Octopath and Giant Robot Daemon/whatever when those segments are uploaded. I'm amazed at how much they're still covering Smash, though as it is their headliner....

Also, maybe I can still hold onto hope for a small 3DS segment tomorrow?

Well of course Smash is their big title this year. Smash is huge and it sells systems, just like Mario, Zelda or Pokemon. I understand it may not be as exciting to see for someone who plays Smash for a bit once it releases and quits, but there's also plenty of people who will play the game for years after it releases, whether they're playing it competitively or more casually with friends.

How often do you all struggle with depression and/or anxiety? A personal question, but it’s one that’s genuinely applicable to me, and I kind of want to let of steam.

@-Green-
Depression is totally cool. Well, no, not cool. But cool if you want to vent or whatever. That's cool.

Personally, i'm typically depressed 104% of the time. Thus, i fill the majority of my time with video games, drinking and porn.

These things solve depression. It is a scientific fact according to my many years of research.*

I didn’t know Flower (the Sony game) was on iOS. Love that game.

And it plays considerably better than on the vita too.

Sometimes I get depressed. I'm getting older and all my friends from school all have kids and wives and I still haven't found a girl I deem worthy of having the title of Mrs. Fooligan. I get depressed thinking "am I going to have to settle for someone who isn't as good looking as I am?" Then I look at myself in the mirror. God. I'm beautiful. So I tell myself "Fooligan, you're beautiful. You shouldn't have to settle for someone who isn't as drop dead gorgeous as you. Now get back out there and grab yourself a 10... but... it's getting late, those two 5s will do for tonight." Speaking of 5s, how is your mom doing, Yosh?

So this is a well and truly random question.

If I'm playing GameCube games on my Wii, and I am using component cables, the game should still be output to the TV right? There wont be any improper image errors or anything?

@Knuckles-Fajita I'm not an expert on the matter but from what I can surmise is that certain GameCube games support progressive scan, unfortunately I'm not sure if it causes any improper displays for those that don't but it seems like it's possible to fix with a Wii homebrew app that has a force progressive scan feature.

List of games with alternative display modes (incomplete?)

GameSpot thread with similar question

When you use the Wii Component Cable the Gamecube games that don't support progressive scan won't work properly. The screen will be scrambled when you try and play it. Sometimes you might be missing a prompt to hit "A" to switch to progressive scan mode, but you can't see it beacuse the screen is scrambled. It's alwasys a good idea to hit "A" when you think this screen prompting you to switch to progressive scan mode is on. So far, I can't play Skies of Arcadia, Resident EVil 0, King Kong, Spiderman, Spiderman 2 to name a few...that's how it is on my TV anyway.
Oh yeah, some GC games support Progressive scan, but don't advertise it...most of the newer GC games support it. I was surprised that Resident Evil 0 and King Kong didn't support it.......

Mine plays RE0 fine with componant O_o

Hmmm...My TV won't let the video work when I plug it into the regular compontent inputs in the the back of the TV...it only works when I plug them into the HD Component inputs next to them.....therefore it seems I can't play any GC games that arent' 480P compatible...

https://gbatemp.net/threads/is-it-possible-to-improve-gamecub...

If you're using component cables, many GameCube games natively support 480p instead of 480i. For games that doesn't natively support progressive scan, it can usually be forced with homebrew
