It's not like you need to sacrifice the cat, in the case you're allergic to it just find it a suitable new home.

Your kitty should still be young enough to adapt to a new home.

Maybe you could even continue visiting it every now and then, depending on who takes it.

I had a friend who was allergic to cats. She didn't even realise until she moved to university away from the cat, when she suddenly felt a little more full of life and didn't sneeze so much, and was breathing a little better.

I don't know how badly you're affected Joey, but you've survived with Sanya for this long. Perhaps it's possible to manage or cope with the allergy.

Hives is a coloquial name for what is known as urticaria.

You know, that thing people get when they touch something they're allergic to, like poison ivy and stuff.

There's multiple possible causes though. Not just allergies.
