Oh, I forgot to mention Cranium, and some of the games made by them [before they decided to make games only for little kids].

Just let it happen.

I don't mind if some people dislike Monopoly. True, it's a long game, but I don't mind. To each his own. It's always fun to control (whatever silver piece you're controlling) and pick up the cards.

To each their own

I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.

I don't like Monopoly either.

And oh how I'd love to play Arkham Horror, if only more people around my area were interested in games with such high learning curves.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

1. Don't be a Dork

Of all the games I would totally fail at, I think this would be my greatest.

Yeah, I know what you mean...it's just so fun to be a dork!!!! lol Don't Be a Dork is actually this really random, but really fun board game. The object of the game is simply to get from one end of the board to the other before everyone else, but the real fun lies in what you have to do to get there. There are cards that have you do all sorts of crazy things. There's one card that has everyone in the game make up a fighter pilot name for themselves, and then for the rest of the game everyone must call each other only by their fighter pilot names or they have to go back a space. One card requires everyone to take off their socks and vote on who has the ugliest feet. The winner then has to keep their feet exposed for the rest of the game. Then, of course, there's the infamous spot on the board labeled "Another Dimension", and if you get the joy (sarcasm) of landing on that spot, you must stay there for two rounds, and while you are there, every word you speak, you have to say twice (Hello hello!!!! How how are are you you? lol) I actually really like that spot, but most people don't like it when I'm in there because I make sure to talk even more than usual (which is already a lot) while I'm there!!!! lol If you ever find it, you should totally give it a try!!!!

Apparently Zooloretto is coming to Wii before too long... if you like board games (or just fun games) keep your eyes open!

My favorite* game? Carcassonne. You basically take turns drawing tiles and building the puzzle-like board. Each time you put a tile down, you can put a little man on the board to help you score points. At the end of the game, whoever scored the most points is the winner. It's not a "kids game" because there is a lot of strategy in how to score points, but the game is easy enough to explain and play that it works well for the whole family.

Other games that come highly recommended: Bohnanza, Settlers of Catan, Bang!, and Incan Gold.

(* Ok, there might be some other board games that I prefer... but Carcassonne is the best one to recommend to other people. Some of the stuff I like is too complex to recommend for most people.)

Yea for Settlers and Carcassonne ejamer!!!! So, do you play with any of the expansions with Settlers? I have the Settlers of Catan, the Seafarers of Catan, the Cities and Knights of Catan, and the Traders and Barbarian of Catan. I also have the five and six player expansions for Settlers and Seafarers. Also, do you play with any expansions on Carcassonne? I've played with all of the expansions that come with the Carcassonne Big Box set (the River, the split in the River, the Abbey and Mayor, the Count, Inns and Cathedrals, the Princess and the Dragon, etc.) They're all a lot of fun!!!! I especially like the Count of Carcassonne!!!!

@everyone: So now the question we must all ask ourselves is...When are we going to have a big Nintendo Life game night?!?! lol (Come on, plane tickets don't cost that much...cough, cough. lol)
