Ok, so I was a little bored and did some hunting online and found something I thought was too cool to pass up on posting. It's a shifting map displaying the North and the South's progress throughout the American Civil War, with each second of the video representing one week of real time. It shows the location and dates of many of the most important battles, as well as (gulp) a casualty count.I'm a history buff, so I might be alone in my interest here, but let's give it a shot:
That's actually really sad. It kind of hurts to watch that for me. I don't know why, but seeing all the progression of the war, and the casualties, and how the battles made the territories go back and forth...it was painful thinking of how much trouble our country was going through.
