I believe they had the second most wins of that decade behind you know who. The jankees. Hey wait a second. I thought the Tigers made it to the playoffs in '87?

Metal_Sonic	64. Posted: Sat 13th Oct 2012 06:38 BST No wait I'm mistaken. Jack Morris won game 7 in the '91 world series. He was one of the reasons we won the series. Kirby Puckett also had a huge part in both the '87 and '91 world series..

Tryken	70. Posted: Sun 14th Oct 2012 07:10 BST The line-up now is basically the Axis-of-Evil of baseball for me. My favorite teams are: The Reds and the Dodgers. My LEAST Favorite teams are: The Yankees (because their insane budget in a no-cap league allows them to buy whatever talent they want), The Cardinals (rivals of the Reds, but no real offense to them), and Giants (rivals of Dodgers, so ditto). Every team I've rooted for in the play offs have been eliminated: Rangers, Braves, Reds, Nationals--all gone to let way for my least favorite teams. So, who's left? Well, out of all these teams, I feel neutral about the Detroit Tigers. So, Go Tigers! =D Edited on Sun 14th October, 2012 @ 07:10 by Tryken

OldMan-Tech	71. Posted: Sun 14th Oct 2012 07:25 BST Totally agreed about the no cap. It just doesn't allow for quality competition. Still if a team like the A's can somehow win a division then there is still hope. Just look at Minnesota most years. GO TIGERS. Beat the EVIL EMPIRE!

Metal_Sonic	72. Posted: Sun 14th Oct 2012 08:22 BST I also agree about the no cap salary junk. It just allows teams like the Yankees to go to the playoffs year after year with no real competition. But there at least is still some competition. Like Tech said, my Twins are actually pretty decent most years (really good considering we're a small market team)!

moomoo	73. Posted: Sun 14th Oct 2012 12:57 BST I really want the Tigers to beat out the Yankees. Pretty much for the same reason as everyone else; too big of an evil empire for my baseball tastes. Then it will be a Tigers VS. Cardinals series.
