once i get fit and get muscles and all the works i may get the superman logo preferably with black replacing the red and the red replacing the yellow located on my chest like it would on the suit, and if the ladies dont like it well too bad for you you can go eat sour keys
I thought you were a girl...
Never been interested in having a tattoo and probably never will. Once you get one, its hard to get rid of it, unless you lazer it off or something.
But nice Master Sword tattoo BedCommando. still find that name weird
lol my name gives the impression does it?
I may possibly not get it depending on if im just have a closet full of superman logo shirts lol but that wont exactly alter my decision
I meant that's what a regular film or digital picture is for, I can use that instead of permanently altering my body. That's what I meant. A tattoo is indeed a picture but it's permanent nature versus the freedom of digital/film pictures was what I was getting at.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
@Tj92: ah, i see it now. unfortunately for me, i'd lose my head if it wasn't attached to my neck IRL — i lose track of things often, photos included. also, one faulty SD card or hard drive (both of which i've experienced before) or a scratched CD/DVD backup and you may wind up losing years of digital photos. if it's been tattooed onto me, though, i'll never lose it (or the memories associated with whatever happened). :3

Plus the picture of Tom Wellington in what appears to be lycra as Superman.
Personally I'd go with the t-shirts. But everyone can make up their own mind, if you can't/won't let them do that, then you're in effect taking away their freedom of choice.

Don't blame me for the name, ex gave it to me like 7 years ago, it's stuck ever since Also, for my fellow inkers, screenshot or didn't happen (In other words, let's see your tattoos!)

Actually, I've been thinking the past few weeks about getting the triforce tattooed on my wrist. I think I'm probably going to do it, but I'm a baby and I'm kind of nervous about the pain...
As someone who hates needles myself, you just have to relax and try and forget the pain. Find something that relaxes you, and focus on that. If it's music, bring it and listen to it. As for what I did, I just kept talking with my roommate (Who came to watch) and stare at the artist's chest. (Seriously, most beautiful things you've ever seen). She's used to it though, been friends with her for years . Last thing, before you get any work done, get to know the person first. How long they've been in the business, any kind of specialties (Like if they're better at large tattoos like sleeves or backs), etc.

@grenworths: the pain actually isn't that bad — some people compare actually getting it done to cat scratches, and afterwards during the healing process it's more like a bad sunburn IMO. the needle won't be going very deep into your skin at all, and once the artist gets going, the endorphins will kick in. i'm the biggest wuss i know regarding needles and pain, so i'm pretty confident in saying that if i can sit for a tattoo, anyone can, haha.
i know it helps me to bring something to hold onto, like a book or something. that way if i want to clench my fists i've got something comfortable to grip, y'know? also, music definitely helps, but it doesn't make for good conversation with the artist if you've got headphones in — i talk quite a bit when i'm getting tattooed D: most artists will have a decent sound setup in the shop nowadays, and i haven't dealt with an artist yet who wasn't cool with the both of us agreeing on what to listen to (or changing the music when i got bored, lol).

Also, the amount of pain you feel is also due to your build. I'm a lanky dude (If you couldn't tell), so there's not a whole lotta muscle or fat on me. When getting tattoos done on a fatter area, it tends to hurt alot more, and over more muscled areas, hurt considerably less. So if your thinking of doing everything possible to decrease the pain, start working out.

I have thought about it but I have never found a pic or idea that I have ever really wanted to have on me lol. I suppose if I did find something I would probably get it in tattoo form. Also the price from what I heard keeps me from getting one too if I am going to spend that kinda of money I want to make sure its something good lol.
The wife has a few that she had done before we met mainly done by a friend of hers who was just starting out in the tattoo business. Shes looking to get more here soon when we get the money.

You might want to make sure it's concealable if you get it on the wrist. Many employers have loosened up somewhat but it's still a pretty big deal for some.
Regarding the pain, just try to be a little tougher than this:
I've been wanting an entire back-covering dragon tatoo for the longest time. It's tail would would curl around my left bicept and the main body of the dragon would go from just below my neck to my waist and the tongue would curl around my right bicept.
My wife nixed that whole thing though. Some crap about being a "co-owner" of my body...
My girlfriend has a huge tattoo covering her back, it looks pretty bad-. I think I'd like a tattoo also, but even if I could take the pain, mistakes like the following can be out of your control and since its pretty permanent, that can be scary. Its hard to have faith that your tattoo artist won't mess up on the exacts of how you want your tattoo.
Street Fighter players will see it close to right away.
I kinda don't think anyone can blame the tattoo artist for that one up there. Because before you get started on a tattoo, it's always the person getting the tattoo's responsibility to check that it looks the way it should. Apparently this person had no idea what they were getting.
