It can be tough to figure out where to put your hard earned money when there are so many options available.
Here are some tips so you can make the best choices for your style:

>Do your research: Read game reviews from a variety of sources. This can give you a good idea of what games are highly recommended and what games to stay away from.Try to see a game's strongest and weakest values. Even read the lowest reviews; there may be something there to consider.

>Watch gameplay videos online: You can get a lot of ideas if a game is for you when you see it in motion. Try to find user submitted videos of gameplay, not trailers, so you can get a clear view of how the game would look if you brought it home. This is also one of the few ways to get a feel for certain downloadable games where you can't try before you buy.

>If all else fails, rent: If you're really not if you want to put down the money, give the game a rental. It might turn out that the game is even better than you thought; or you'll be glad that you didn't invest the full price. Blockbuster and Gamefly offer monthly plans that allow you to try a handful of games for a low price.

Sure it all looks good, but don't go into it too fast! You might start a game and never finish it or let a good one pass you bye.
