Anybody know any they plan on doing sometime?! ;)

Here's 2 that I find interesing:

Power Trade - EAS Active, UFC 2009: Undisputed, Punch-Out = Trade any games towards the reservation or purchase of EA Sports Active (Wii), UFC 2009: Undisputed (360, PS3), or Punch-Out (Wii) and recieve an extra 20% trade in credit!

DSi Trade Up Offer = Get $70 toward the DSi by trading in your DS Lite, or $50 by trading the origonal DS, or $20 by trading in the GBA SP.

I thought I wished to share those with anyone; so check your local GameStop! ;)

And sorry if this is advertising; but I'm trying to lively up these forums! ;)

I just know I'm doing the trade in offer so I can get Punch-Out for myself; then I'll be able to get a Nintendo Points card... would be a nicer way to spend my $56! ;)

Yeah, I stopped trading into GS because they give you around 25% of its used sale price IF its in superb condition. So, garage sales and eBay it is.

I use the trade in at Gamestop. Since where I do not use Ebay, and don't have many garage sales. Last time I traded Donkey Kong Country for the GBA and got $10. That's good for a GBA game that I never play.

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

I keep all my games. Never know when I will want to give them another go. I do like some of the deals I can get on used games though. Picked up Klonoa 1 GBA the other day for 4 bucks.

Those jerks jipped me out of $10 the other day. they said "trade in 3 ds games and get $10 extra credit" When I traded them in all I got was $24 For all 3. When I asked about it they said "oh there is nothing we can do the computer tacks on all the deals, maybe your games didn't qualify.." I looked on their website and they all did. All that had to be met was that they were worth more than $1 and each game was in pristine condition. I am NEVER going back unless they have something that my local play-n-trade doesn't have. But needless to say Im never trading anything in there again.
Ok my rant is over

I have A LOT of games, if you want to play something, just email me jangonov@yahoo.com and ask if I have it. (make sure to say Nintendolife in the subject)

Yeah, trade-in-wise, GS is full of it, but I've only gotten 2 bum used games in 5 years and one I was able to return (the other one I waited too long cause of a busy week T.T) So I still buy lots of used games there. Lots= once every month or two.

I may shop at GameStop but I hardly ever trade in any games there. I don't like buying used games and I rather keep my games than get a fraction of what I paid for a game originally. I always read reviews and research what I buy so I won't make the mistake of buying a game that sucks. I can't take risks and buy every game that I want like I used to. Sometimes its better to wait. For instance; I got GTA: China Town Wars on DS for $20, Soul Calibur IV on PS3 for $10 and Fable 2 on XBOX360 for $30 all at Best Buy! Always check sales ads and your bound to find good deals!:)

gamestop's new policy has us able to return the favor:

if you buy a used game, you can return it for a full refund WITHIN ONE WEEK.
therefore: unlimited free game rentals

Wow, how new is this? That's awesome. I could definitely abuse this. :)
You're sure it's not for a full refund only if the game is scratched or defective?

GAME (UK) used to do a very similar policy, for NEW games believe it or not, was ended as soon as people turned it into a rental service though. shame.

I rarely trade in games because games shops give you a ridiculously low amount trade in.

Me: Oh I wanna trade in Game X, bought it on release last week for £40 so please how much is it worth?
employee: Scans box £12.50 trade in or £5.00 cash
me: Forget I asked (leaves and buys a game from a different store)

Gamestatiion used to be decent till GAME bought them out and started influencing them.

Pre-owned prices are a joke. New release new £39.99 (RRP, I never pay RRP!) Preowned - £37.99.

Yay I can save £2 by getting a smelly, scratched version of a new release! Then again new releases themselves are usually scratched because of their ridiculous way of storying discs in a drawer with the manual.

I remember when they used to do retro stuff :( Dreamcast, megadrive, snes, gameboy... I've seen a gba game from time to time pop up but nothing much else.

You can replace it for whatever within 7 days or for the same product within 30 days. Sucks then that I waited 3 months before finding out if I could return my nonworking MGS3 disc (because I thought I only had a week.)

I'm lucky, in the Seattle-area, a couple ofthose classic "mom and pop" game stores survived. In fact, one locally is called GameTown, and their motto is "Everything Atari to Xbox!". Great place to buy Master System and DC games.

FWIW, I just picked up The World Ends With You used at GameStop (I usually buy and trade at GameCrazy) and was told that if I didn't like it for ANY reason, I could return it for a full refund/exchange it for something else any time within 7 days...no questions asked.

what Kknight said.

if its a used game, returning it for ANY reason will net you a full refund (just don't break it in half). This may be a regional policy (I live in texas), so ask your store first.
