You guys need to realise that when the LOZ cartoon came out back in 89' there was only one Zelda game and that was obviously LOZ for the NES. The artists, writers, whatever ect had hardly anything to go off of. All they had were 8-bit sprites, the little amount of bare bones art work in the manual, the plot outline for NES-LOZ and that was it. I'm watching a bit of it on DVD right now and i absolutely love this show haha. I love how link is a bit of a prissy jerk, the classical art direction, animation, NES-SFX, music, beauitifully drawn back drops, Link's classic "Excuuuuuuuse Meeee Princesss",Gannon's voice ect ect. B-)...It captures the radical & magical days of the late 80's perfectly.

And another thing i don't give a rats A** if the characters don't look identicle to their videogame counterparts or exactly behave or sound the same way either. In this case, Link was an 8-bit sprite in the NES video game world, he was trying to save the princess. Nobody knew what he sounded like(Future games have him silent, now wouldnt' that be boring to translate into a cartoon) or what his personality was like and this and that. Captain N was the best of the 3, the artists were clearly getting more creative and bizzare with the source material and injecting their own crazy ideas into the mix and i for one loved it! They did a brilliant job on King Hippo and the Egg plant Wizard especially.

Waveboy you are a product of the 80's but so am I. However I refuse to think that the Zelda series was any good at all. Super Mario was a bit better but still nothing great. I for one enjoyed the Donkey Kong set of shows they had in the 90's. Even though as a kid I enjoyed every Friday when it aired now looking back there were so many more good cartoons way better then Zelda and Mario. It's as if they went out and got the wors production team they could find and put something together as quickly as possible to cash in on its popularity. My son likes the Mario show now.

I'm finding this game way too distracting. I would much rather be playing it right now rather than working!

Two games actually — LoZ and Adventure of Link. But your point still stands. The great thing about it was seeing the items and enemies from the actual game, and hearing the actual sound effects from the game on a tv show. Regardless of its cheeziness, at the time it was still awesome. :)

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.

The dialogue could have been better, regardless. If you show it to someone who knows nothing about LoZ, they just see a badly written cartoon.

Of course you think those horrible shows and everything in the 80's are "awesome" since you're blinded by nostalgia and all.

They say love is blind. But I think nostalgia is even more so.
