So yeah. this is hard for me to explain. But have you ever have those moments in gaming where you stuck and you are stumbling around like a totally moron trying to solve a puzzle or something, but then accidently find the solution when it should have obvious the first time around?
Sure it does, but not often. Mostly because I don't have many puzzle-heavy games.
I guess my worst moment was in Xenoblade:
After the Ether Mine (when Xord is finally dead), the party leaves the mine through the back entrance. I immediately teleported back to Colony 9 for some Gem crafting, but when I returned, I always took the upper pathe around Colony 6 to go to Satorl Marsh. Took me nearly 6 hours to realize there was a flag at the lower path...
Remember in Pokemon Red in order to go to saffron city, you had to buy a drink? Yeah when i tried the remake, and it didn't work, i just didn't know what to do. I stumbled like an idiot, thinknig something must be wrong with my game copy. Then by chance i stumbled upon some old lead who has tea. It took me 3 hours just to stumble on to her.
Don't feel to bad Twilight Princess's Ice Temple had me stuck for a week in the Big block moving room and Crazy Gadget from Sonic Adventure 2 battle to the point of me cheating to finish the level.
Capcom at E3: Guys we're sorry about how we've been treating Mega Man so we're gonna make it up to you by releasing the Mega Man Cancelled Collection with all the titles we cancelled in the condition they we're in just before we pulled the plug. Now who wants Street Fighter X Monster Hunter?

I believe it's happened to me although I'm having a hard time remembering when it last happened.
Sometimes it's not even in puzzle games though. Sometimes I won't understand what I'm supposed to do or where I'm supposed to go no matter how many times I look at the objective or map. After turning it off, I'll go back to it a few days later and find out that I was just over thinking it.
For some reason I've been conditioned into thinking things "can't be that easy".
My battle with Zant. Out of desperation I started to fool around with Link's gadgets and found that they did have a use out of their dungeon after all.
But what I absolutely hate is when I get stuck on a second playthrough. It happens to me that the first time I check everything and easily find the answer, but the second time I go faster, thus forgetting an essential detail.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
Legend Of Zelda Minish Cap. That part in the mountain where you need to launch a bomb in order to advance. The funniest thing was that I had that in mind, but when controls didn't respond I thought it was impossible. Ran ran ran around looking for so long, I abandoned the game but shortly came back and tried the bomb stuff. Turned out I didn't press the controls. silly me
God first.

When I first played Ocarina of Time when it was new, I had no idea how to get to the basement of the Deku Tree. Probably spent hours on that file before going to my friend's file and somehow beating Ganondorf. That was weird. Thankfully eventually I found out by accident via the hearts giving you a clue.
Majora's Mask is somehow worse where the beginning of Snowhead Temple I had no idea how to get over the first bridge area as a Goron. I realized later all I needed to do was face the camera towards it and move straight towards the ramp.
It happens.
When it's taking me too long i'll search for "bug" or "glitch" in combination with the game and the part i'm at atm. If i get no results i'll try to find a solution again myself. @shinesprite That was just amazing, i agree.
That part in Phantom Hourglass where you have to "Press the sacred crest against the sea chart to transfer it."
Fun times, fun times
I remember trying so hard on this, then falling asleep while doing that and then someone else shutting down the DS , and when I woke up to continue, the puzzle was solved and then I was so happy
Xenoblade Chronicles first face mechon fight, took me 20 minutes to realise how to do a chain attack which is what I get for not reading the tutorials.
