How many Trekkies/Trekkers do we have here? I consider myself one, but I don't like the original series so much so I don't know if I qualify.
Don't say you've been a trekky since the last Star Trek movie, that ressembled Star Wars more that Star Trek. Not that it was all bad.

And I have one question for all of you: WHO MADE ENTERPRISE GET CANCELLED BY NOT WATCHING IT?

I've seen a few episodes of the original and thought it was alright.

Jesus is the only way.
It's OK to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know.

I saw the movie, and I thought it was good. I'm not exactly in the mood to argue whether or not it's the case, but that movie was good!! Now, regarding the episodes: I saw a few of them when I was very little.

Been a Trek dude for a long time. There is a social network for trek fans called Trekspace btw and its got about 5,000 people or so. My favorite shows was TNG and DS9. Followed by TOS. Voyager and Enterprise I like but not quite as much as the others. My favorite Trek movies are Wrath of Kahn and First Contact. I have seen all the series in their entirety, all movies and read about 70 or so books over the years. I actually own a Bat'leth.

Count me in. Bought Star Trek Conquest on release without regrets. I'm hoping for some kind of Elite Force sequel on the Wii or maybe a good action/adventure game instead of the usual space battle games (though I'll happily have more of those!).

I'm a big Trekkie, so much so I hated those videos (except Magi's)!

I've been watching Star Trek my whole life, The Original Series, The Next Generation & Deep Space 9 are my faves, Voyager and Enterprise are OK (I still can't beleive Voyager lasted the full 7 years whilst Enterprise got canned after 4 ). As for movies, Star Trek I-IV were excellent, Star Trek V was a joke and I hate it, Star Trek VI was very good. I'm a big fan of Generations and First Contact, but unfortunately, Insurrection sucked. As for JJ Abrams re-boot, I enjoyed the film, but the more I think about it, the more I question it, the less I like it. "Oh, hello Spock, what you doin' here?" Even though they wiped the slate clean, so as to start a new, there are holes everywhere and I can't take it seriously. I am not a fan, and I imagine it will only get worse from here.

I'm a huge fan of TNG, and secondarily of DS9. Everything after DS9 I pretty much despise, though; year after year I wait for Rick Berman to die or be assassinated so that the whole Trek franchise can pass into new hands. There's still so much untapped potential that could be used to create another brilliant series, but it's been squandered for so many years that I've lost all hope.

My favorite Trek film is actually Generations, although I know that to be a unpopular pick. The thing is that I've never really thought Star Trek was about ordinary sci-fi or blockbuster, big-screen battles, or anything like that. In my mind, it fails when it tries to go down that route, and becomes just another mediocre flavor of science fiction. When it excelled, during TNG and DS9, it was about characters and, even more importantly, writing that dealt with important issues while managing to present them in a complex light that didn't take the easy way out, and left you with real questions. Generations wasn't the greatest sci-fi film, and had its flaws in other areas as well, but had at its core an excellent look at Picard's regrets and anguish regarding family, both in relation to his relatives and in terms of the fact that he never managed to have a family of his own. That part of the film was well-acted (as always with Patrick Stewart) and worthy of the Star Trek name. First Contact was also a good film, but after that I was greatly disappointed.

Not unpopular with me, after The Motion Picture and The Wrath of Khan, I would choose Generations.

You don't like The Motion Picture? But that's my fave! PetaQ!!

I don't do MMO's, but have been adding bits to my PC for the last 6 months, so I am ready for when this beauty arrives. I'm gonna lose months in here.

I am not a PC gamer and my PC will not be powerful enough to run Star Trek Online. I would just like to see a game on the Wii from a third person perspective which mixes in action and adventure. Basically just go on away missions, use your tricorder and blast some enemies with a trusty phaser.

Sounds like the Elite Force games mentioned by Sean, which were actually pretty decent, but only for PC.

Yeah I have the Elite Force games but they were First Person Shooters not third person action /adventure games. I want a third person game with a higher emphasis on exploration with some shooting in critical situations. I do not have to worry about it though because it will never happen. They also have the original Elite Force on the PS2 so its not just PC only.

Well in this one, you can fight in space, then beam down to the planet you have just secured and explore. Ooh, what's that, we're under attack? Back to the ship!!

The Borg are back in the Alpha Quadrant, and the Kittomer Accord has fallen down. You can choose to be any race, or even create your own, which will then be added to the Star Trek Online Universe. It's gonna be ace!
