Topic: Spiderman or Batman?

This was a question that was casually brought up by my friend one day "Who is the better super hero? Spiderman or Batman?" I figured an online forum was the best place to settle this issue (and prove that i am right!)
My pick is without a doubt Spiderman. His creative array of powers and engaging character are enough to make Batman tremble in his utility belt.
Now...What do YOU think?

I don't know. You will find any gadget in batman's pocket whether it be a bomb or not.

That's the argument I'VE always used! But my friends always try to come back by saying, "He doesn't NEED super powers!" ...pshh

Batman is just a man in a costume w/ some fancy gadgets! One hard punch and he would be down!
Spiderman can take a punch!

when it comes to TV shows... i always loved Batman: The Animated Series, but the Spider-Man animated series that ran around the same time, I hated.

also, what Batman may not have in superpowers, he makes up for in martial arts training and other fighting skills. Between his endless gadgets/deus ex machinae, the millions of Bruce Wayne and access to Wayne Enterprises' R&D department, and his battle-honed fighting techniques, he may as well have superpowers.

Also, Spiderman doesn't need some whiney 12-year-old freak in a bright costume to help him fight crime!

Batman is way cooler. He don't need no superpowers.

Spider-man. Batman is a mental case; Spider-man is a kid trying to do the right thing with powers he didn't ask for.

Is there any real doubt? Batman, of course!

Mm, this is tough, since they're two of my favorite superheroes. I like Batman because he could, conceivably, exist. Spiderman, on the other hand, is very likable. I'm going to go with Spiderman, mostly because the new animated show, The Spectacular Spiderman, is fantastic, and really draws Peter in the best possible light.

Marvel vs Capcom (2) is a much better game than Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe.

Therefore, It's got to be Spiderman

And Batman has superpowers, you know. The power of unlimited funding!

...which is a large part of his appeal. The fact that Batman is a normal guy driven by personal tragedy (if you wanna call an obsessed billionare who dresses up in a cape and stalks criminals at night "normal") is what makes his such a cool hero. Some characters are given powers in comics and then feel like they have to use them, so they become superheroes. Others are born with them and it's just a way of life. Batman has no powers, but he uses what he does have (intellect, training, financial resources, etc.) to get the job done his own way. He's human which makes him easier to relate to, he's more flawed (physically and emotionally) than your average superhero which makes for a much better storyline and he's not your typical smiley faced "do-gooder" that everyone loves...instead he's a vigilante who is dark and brutal.

I generally can't stand most DC Comics, but I've always loved Batman. On the other hand, as a huge Marvel fan I find Spiderman mouthy, obnoxious and overhyped. Yeah, he has cool powers, but to me there's a lot more than just powers that make a comic interesting.

And as a side note...yes, I realise I'm a total nerd.

In my opinion Batman all the way, DC comics have the best heroes and villians. While the first 2 spidermans and iron man were good if not great super hero movies, the comics that marvel put out are so boring. Nothing can compete with the Dark Knight. Yet again when i did have my comic book phase i was only attracted to DC and Vertigo so obviously i am going to be biased.

Batman is the only DC hero I like. The X-Men, Spiderman, and Iron Man are way cooler than most of the DC heroes.

This one is easy.

Spiderman.

Although I do enjoy watching most of the Batman cartoons on TV. Just not that latest one. However, the only Spiderman cartoon I enjoy watching is the 90s one. I don't really like the others.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Batman end of story.

Playing: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 3, and Ninja Gaiden 2
