Damn, I have not been on here for a while. What're we talking about?

@DiabolicalSoup9: Hi there! We are talking about a new Sonic game that will be coming to the Wii U and 3DS. It is going to have different gameplay from the previous Sonic games. It looks very similar to Super Mario Galaxy. There is so much hype about it, that it's even attracting non-Sonic fans. The color powers will return (Laser, Drill, and Rocket New: Eagle, Meteor, and Rhythm). There are also new villains. I know I'm hyped for it!

The graphics look really "Kirby" to me.

I'm still in shock that the 3DS can handle a 3D Sonic title. I thought a 3D Sonic would be too fast for the system, and Sonic Team would have aimed to keep the frame rate solid, not having impressive graphics.
I have never been more wrong.
Also, the first time I saw the 3DS gameplay, I thought it was Wii U graphics. The art design threw me off since both are very close, and I hadn't seen the Wii U version in a while.

@Knuckles I was also surprised by this. It just seemed very unlikely.

So apparently a site has listed reasons for it's E10+ rating. It's due to "slightly graphic language"

And gave examples using lines that are supposedly said within the game, like:
"You’re going home in a box"
"I’m going to skin you alive"
"I long for death’s cold embrace."
"I’ll get fat from eating your black hearts"
"One second you’re contemplating genocide"
"As long as I can still strangle a Zeti, my hands are fine."

And it's left everyone on tumblr like:

Seems fit for kids... yeah definitely.

At least they're not outright swearing in an attempt to be dark and edgy, like in Shadow the Hedgehog.

Yeah, it's just that it sounds sort of awkward and silly, like, "you're going home in a box"

Especially "I long for death’s cold embrace." That really doesn't sound like modern Sonic games.

@MrWalkieTalkie In a way I like it. The last truly dark-ish Sonic game was SA2B. It made the series into a sort of weird mix between kid friendly and mature. Take the whole deal with Gerald Robotnik and Maria for example; that was some heavy stuff for a Sonic game, but man it was cool.

I'm not surprised, after one of the trailers with that red guy saying "Your fate is to be destroyed, why don't you just accept that, lay down and die!", this kind of slightly graphic language is to be expected, but whatever, the game will still be great.

I tend to appreciate slightly darker story and dialogue for supposedly "kiddy" games like this, so that sounds cool.

Eh, I personally have never like dark and serious tones in Sonic games. Just doesn't make much sense to me to make games starring such a cartooney looking character have so much drama.

That's why I like games like Colors, Generations, and Lost World. They're much more light-hearted and comedic than before.

I just hope that these lines isn't the only one there just to make the story more serious.

they're presumably there to make the kids gasp at the danger the villains present for each boss fight
