I think that MC is trying to make fun of the fact that everyone tries to draw Pokémon really realistically, and I agree, and it's really annoying when I go on Google Images to look for regular art of Pokémon I like, but I'd say that's actually one of the best Pokémon drawings I've ever seen... The "realistic" and "epic" Pokémon art throws me off of looking at any of it at all.
I also think that Sonic art looks good for what it's going for.
Unless he's just trying to say he actually likes it.

• Take something with enormous community.
• Find negative points of community (of which there will be, invariably, hundreds).
• Ignore strong points of community (of which there will also be many).
• Tar over all individual details as the though the fandom is one large, squelchy amorphous grey blob and not in fact thousands of individual people.
• Declare WORST FANDOM EVER!!!1!

Sonic fandom's certainly not without its problems, I won't deny. But they're neither the best nor worst fandom out there. They're just a fandom. It will be a joyous day indeed when the various internet factions stop pretending to be political giants on the verge of mass warfare and just get on with doing whatever it is they do without feeling it necessary to point at each other and go MY FANDOM IZ BETTAR THAN UR FANDOM LOLZ.

Also, that 'realistic Pokémon art sux' argument going on above me is ridiculous. Somebody combining something that they enjoy with something that they're good at? UNHEARD OF! All fan projects must fall within guideline procedures! Please consult your copy of the Fandom Handbook for details on artistic styles and talent levels that fall within regulation protocol.

Pretty much this. I read it for a while and just... didn't feel like reading after a short while. It was pretty repetitive and got off topic way too often. Never use "awesome" unless in quotes when it comes to articles, by the way. Never a good word to use unless you're talking about something that is actually like that, like being at the top of a mountain and seeing the beauty of creation in your sight. Then it's okay. Also, this... bothers me:

That sounds like something you'd see in a forum post, not an article. I just can't see that as true, since you've got plenty of games still rushed out the window today that pretty bad.

Sonic fans may not be particularly good ones, but frankly a lot of Sonic games are not good. Sonic and the Black Knight isn't really a solid game in terms of game design and Sonic '06 is a genuinely bad game. If that game released today, we'd be seeing a 2.5 average on Metacritic. Yeah, there are good games too, but it's not like the fanbase has no reason to be upset either.

You've got to keep in mind, too, that most people aren't like that and it's not hard to really just ignore the fanbase and just play what you like. See: every fanbase ever. There's tons of jaded fans when it comes to any property. Just ignore them.

Eggman should get his own spin-off, the man can run faster then Sonic, and just imagine when you collect all the chaos emeralds, best super ever, also Ristar should be in the spin-off somewhere.

Sega already released a spin-off about Eggman.

As for the fanbase...the best way to sum it up is every time I google ''Sonic fanart'' or ''Sonic fanfiction'', I cry over what this new generation has done to my childhood. They did far more damage to Sonic than Sega ever did.

Can we agree that all fandom is bad.

That's just Puyo Puyo, with classic Eggman/Robotnik, it would be cool to see a spin of of modern Eggman/Robotnik..........with Ristar somewhere in it.

Puyo Puyo or no Puyo Puyo...it's still a spin-off of Eggman.

But I would like to see a non-puzzle spin-off game of Eggman...if it can be done right. After Shadow the Hedgehog, I don't know if having any more good Sonic spin-offs is even possible.

And people are also entitled to their own opinion. All I said is that I don't like it. I'd rather see my Hydreigon with thick lines instead of feathers.

With that argument, isn't he entitled to his opinion of your opinion? And really, it sounds to me that he's pointing out the flaws in people's logic than anything else. What's wrong with that?

I think I will just continue to ignore the fanbase. It's unfortunate that it's so messed up, but I'm frankly sick of dealing with it. I'll just continue to enjoy Sonic, whether it be games, comics, or TV shows. I still think that Sonic gets undeserved hate, but whatever. I personally think that those people are missing out. As for the article, sorry if you didn't like it. I thought it was pretty interesting.

Dragon Ball Z was basically an over the top version of Super Man. As far as I'm concerned, the Sonic comics are just an average comic with a terrible, convoluted plot.
