Reality TV is worse than retarded celebrity worship in my opinion. If little kids see a rich and famous celebrity doing stupid stuff they think 'I'm nowhere near as good as them'. But if it's someone leeching off their reality TV 15 minutes of fame doing something stupid they start thinking "They're just like me!" and start emulating the attention wh*res stupidity. The only good reality shows are stand-up comedy competitions. Mostly because they're the only ones that require actual talent shows. To anyone who wants to argue with that about other talent shows:1) I don't include the Idol shows because they're just glorified kareoke competitions,2) I don't include Next Top Model because it's pretty much an affirmation of the fact that our society is shallow and that makes me sad,3) I don't include X's got talent because I don't like it.

As if the details couldn't get any stranger about this family, a rap video from the ballon kid and brothers has surfaced! Is this not the weirdest thing you have ever seen or what?! The kids are even cussing in it.

I kind of find reality TV to be cruel, sure they volunteered, but isn't all about laughing at others stupidity or misfortune for the most part, can't stand reality TV at all, but sadly millions are addicted to it, so its not going to vanish anytime soon, though I wish it would.

I don't watch anything reality-tv-related. In fact, i'll just stick with my nice fantasy-world. It's much nicer and safer. I play lots of cards and chess there.
Currently own: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, iPad, PC's, WP7 Phone and a Vita. Who you callin' a fanboy?!

I hate reality tv. I will admit, I did watch one season of Survivor, but other than that I refuse to watch any of it. It's just lazy programming. If I want to see idiots in stupid situations, I'll go to the local Walmart or a busy traffic intersection. I miss the days of quality sitcoms, there aren't that many anymore. I think Will and Grace was the last good one, IMO. The last TV shows I actually looked forward to were Buffy, Angel, and the X files. Unfortunately, those days are gone.

I like most reality TV shows. They're a good way to wind down at the end of the day and don't make me think too hard. I'm mostly only watching them on VH1.

I won't bother commenting on this topic. The last time I shared my opinions (which I have every right to, mind you), the chickens who run this site sent me a nasty email!

From what I remember of you 'sharing your opinions', a nasty email is the least you deserve.

This is hilarious!
The parents try to defend the lyrical content of their kids' rap video on CNN!

Omg they are so f***ed, and they know it. It's fun, yet disturbing, watching those freaks trying to dig themselves out of this massive hole.

Yea, I totally agree Machu! They wanted a "reality TV show" and they got it, but not the way they wanted it.

I got up to exactly 1:23 of this video. I'd sooner eat my gun than watch one moment more. I hate that I know who these people even are, and wish humanity could file a class action lawsuit against them for the hour they stole from it with their egomaniacal stunt.

On this Falcon video: Whether they feel hypocritical or not, they should not be allowing there kids to swear. These guys are fools. I wonder what else they let their kids do because they "don't want to feel hipocritical"? Is there a Parenting for Dummys?

TV in general is a bad influence on society, reality-based or not. Too many people still use it to babysit their kids and %99 of the content is ad-filled rubbish.

I didn't watch the video in post #30. But in the picture, doesn't it look like the chick has a swollen left eye? iirc, wasn't there some allegation of spousal abuse at one point?

Oh no. Please don't get me started on reality TV. I hate it so much

I just watched the rap video (wish I could understand alot more of what they were saying. The newsperson in the last vid keeps trying to say that it sounds like the kids were saying "f*g/s?" but when I listened I did hear falcon. I suppose it could have been an honest mistake.
Also there is a South Park reference in this (mr Hankey, the Christmas poo). I don't think that Southpark is a good show for young kids to be watching, in fact im sure it isn't. I'd like to know who let them watch it (could be someone at another house). Then again these 2 obviously let the kids put it in (if not helped them. Who put on the poo makeup?)

The only shows that would fit under reality that I enjoy are the Discovery channel ones: Dirty Jobs, Treasure Quest, Verminators, etc.
Cops is also a good one to watch when theres nothing else to do in the middle of the night.
