Motion controls is not the main reason why there are a lot of casual games (though, I consider a large majority of those casual games to be shovelware because most of them are) on the Wii, it's the high sales. The PS1/2 does not have motion controls, but they have the most casual/shovelware out of all the video game systems at the time because they both had the highest sales. Though, the motion controls do help the sales a bit and Microsoft and Sony wants some of that money.
This. The motion controls were just a gimmick (though a good one at that), and the high console sales led to the onslaught of shovelware we see today.
The Wii is not the first console to be filled with third-rate, no-effort casual junk. You look at the PS1/2's catalogue and for each excellent game there are 50 pieces of steaming schnitzel.
While I would like to see motion controls for the next Nintendo console they are going to have to improve it over what they currently have.Motion plus has been a let down with little support ,even from Nintendo themselves, and TBH it didn't live up to my expectations. If they can truly nail absolute 1:1 and get away from the idea that giving the remote a shake is somehow fun when a button press is more intuitive and generally more reliable then I will certainly buy it. More options for classic contoller support would be nice though. I'm sure they have something great up there sleeves for the next console though and can't wait to see what they come up with.
no more sensors (or at least something WAY BETTER) built in sensors , no more codes (or at least one code for everything maybe just your system) , WAY more games that use wii speak (or even come out with a head set next time)

I would happily buy a next Nintendo console without motion control. Up to date hardware would be much more important to me since the disappointing Wii hardware was just a slap in the face for many old Nintendo fans. When buying a next generation console I expect to see more improvements over the previous modell than just adding a new controller and some online features.
The Wii is far from being my favourite videogaming console (even in this generation). But the Virtual Console and Nintendo's exclusive francises (Zelda, Metroid, Mario,...) were enough reasons for me to buy it day one and I don't regret it (okay maybe a little since Virtual Console is almost dead).
I don't really care about motion controls since those are mostly connected to casual experiences or dumb waggle controls. But the pointer function of the Wii-Remote is a great feature in some games (e.g. Metroid Prime 3 : Corruption).
