Anyway, I think NL rating system is pretty fine the way it is. I'm indifferent to adding .5s but I would prefer NOT to bring it down to out of 5 (unless you added .5s to that, but that would be essentially pointless IMO). The reviews themselves are of course top notch.
I think we should do away with reviewing entirely, and just embed pornographic video clips onto the game's page. The better the game, the more hardcore the clip.
For example, Mega Man 9 would have a clip that's 20 minutes long and doesn't even offer a breather.
Niki Rock N Ball would be 40 seconds of a fat kid sitting alone on a park bench.

We need a review system where, for every point a game scores, we take a piece of clothing off of Sephiroth, until we reach the glorious point where a game scores 10/10 and Sephiroth is... passes out

Yeah this is where you start running into problems with whole point review systems. Obviously the written review is the most important part, but the number should be an accurate reflection of the review. So...yeah. Tough choices.

Also you could make the last star Bigger/Smaller happy/sad depending on the reviewers preference.
I think we should have a tingle seizure rainbow system. Bad game = David Jr not moving. Good game = all four tingles dnacing with seizure rainbow effects like my avatar. Luigiman I'm doin good too! long time no see
They could just review out of 20 instead of 10, and then they have the same range of scores without adding in complicated decimal places.
But in all seriousness, does it really matter? At the end of the day, you still need to read the article to see whether the game is for you.
I agree. I honestly think we should have fewer stars. Albeit adding more stars or adopting a "half-point" system would definitely be useful, it'll also be more complicated.
