Topic: Should Nintendo get rid of Ganondorf and/or Bowser?

@ Stuff
So? Doesn't mean he couldn't have. There's no law preventing him from returning, or Zelda II's plot wouldn't have made sense. It was a reasonable question.

Bowser must stay. As for Ganondorf I could not care less if he left for good.

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

@Adam: Yeah, okay, I guess. Anyway, fact remains he ain't in it. And I expect he may not be in Spirit Tracks because it looks so similar to Phantom Hourglass. May turn out otherwise, though. I dunno.

Bowser is the best super villan EVER! Keep him. You can do whatever you want with Gandondorf.

Enjoy the CHEESE of life.

Ganondorf...could careless, I think Zelda is overrated and Ganon or no Ganon, I won't be duped into playing the next one. Bowser on the other hand? He could use a break...bring back Wart and the Galaxy universe is the perfect universe to do it. Mario stumbles upon a galaxy where he actually exists outside of the dream world...or, he stumbles on the dream world.

Bowser maybe, or just make him less funny more evil, and Ganondorf hell no. He is the best villain in a Nintendo game, and one of the best villains in games in general.

The Game.

Ganondorf FTW. If he wants to take a break thats ok, but he should not be gotten ridden of completely. As for bowser, w/e. he can stay he can go,

It's long overdue. Why Nintendo doesn't use Vaati more baffles me. He's more colorful and interesting than Ganon. I wonder if it's a pride thing since Capcom invented him. They clearly have the rights to the character, as Four Swords Adventure proved, so it's not that.

Bowser definitely needs to be a permanent Mario character though. His role in the RPGs is always hilarious. As a final boss though, yes, he could use a rest. Wart or even Wario ought to step back in.

Pretty much my thoughts. I don't think they should get rid of them completely, but it does baffle me why Nintendo doesn't mix it up now again by using the many other villains such as Wart, Tatanga, Vaati, Skull Kid etc.

They must eliminate Ganon. Then there shall be no more Zelda (hopefully).

I will never take that back. I shall be the only person on this website that cannot stand that garbage that you people call Zelda.

@J Bitties: Y'know, it's kind of weird that Wart hasn't returned. Birdo, Bob-omb, Snifit, and Shy Guy are all common return characters from Super Mario Bros. 2. Even Ninji has been in at least one other game! But Wart sits out.

@CowLaunch: Tatanga? Isn't he the jerk from Super Mario Land? Not much of a villain, imo...even less of one than Wart. I don't care if they don't bring him back. Skull Kid HAS been in several Zelda titles...just not usually in a major villain role. Spoilers, maybe: That was sort of a one-time thing due to him being controlled by Majora's Mask, after all.

@cheetahman91: You're not the ONLY non-Zelda-fan on this site, y'know. Fortunately, there aren't TOO many people in that school of thought around here. You can dislike Zelda all you want, but it doesn't stop it from being awesome to a lot of people, which is what matters. Just like I don't give a crap about F-Zero, but I don't go around dissing it all the time.

It doesn't matter much really as those characters are simply a means to an end for gameplay. One of the reasons I'm not too big on Twilight Princess is because the plot was overemphasized.

@brandonbwii: You mean you would have preferred LESS story? As far as I know, you're in a minority on that one. I really liked the story in Twilight Princess! The more depth, the better, I say.

I like my games with an extra side helping of plot. I liked everything they did with TP, it's just a shame that they still felt the need to keep within the plot of the original game, and have Ganondorf suddenly appear as the villian in the end. I would love for Zelda to have a legitimate plot. Since Zelda began, they've been adding more and more, and it's evolving. I like games like mario, and they don't need to have a plot, but an epic adventure needs to have a great story, not just "save the princess"

Some new characters would be good but I don't think they should completely get rid of Bowser And Ganon

I wouldn't get rid of them. They are iconic villians that deserve to stay.

For once I agree with you. The only thing is that Bowser needs a personality change. They make him try to be funny.
