Can we please stop with the "Should I buy (blank)" threads?! I mean, this is a review site after all, do some research and decide for yourself what you want to play! I'm just sick of coming onto NL and seeing at least half the recent threads being crap like that all the time. Who's with me?
THANK YOU! I too am starting to get sick and tired of all these "what games should I buy?" and "should I get ____?" Threads all the time! I attempted to do something like this for VC/WW games, but no one ever used it. I guess NLife users are allergict to organization...
@Ricardo91 No, it just seems to me they think the internet revolves around them. And I'm not saying to make one thread for discussion, I'm just telling people to shut the hell up and do the research on their own, especially when you are on a #@$%ing review site!
I agree with what you are saying, what is even more annoying is when someone asks should i get game X or game Y, about 10 people will say get game X, then the person posts a comment saying thanks for your help but i think im going to get game Y anyway. That really grinds my gears.
Thank you Chatham. While we are here can we mention the "I have some points, what should i spend them on". Who, would ever ask a forum, before asking themselves, aah!
I do do topics like that lol, n i dont care really i like getting more opinions than just 1 from a reviewer, sorry guys if by us making topics like that it forces u to click them and read them. I thought we all had the freedom to choose what topics we wanted to read, but if we're all brainwashed into clicking every topic we see that we don't think we'll like, i guess thats not my or anyone else's problem lol. If you dont want to read the topic...well go and like...go and look somewhere else (nicest wording i could use there)

DaDun, don't take offense. It's just one example of people who have a question and instead of typing it into google to see if the question has been asked elsewhere, they feel it deserves another thread that will survive for ten posts, then be forgotten. And yes, I got bored of them and don't click them anymore. Do you really think they are necessary when our precious Nintendo Life are struggling with space on there server?
@Dadun - It is not that i feel the need to read these topics because i don't, its just the fact that it makes topics that are actually interesting harder to find. Also it just seems as if the creator of said topics just seem to like creating topics for the hell of it like some sort of attention seeking exercise, take for example a topic i seen not so long ago saying "What is Earthbound", in the time it took for that person to create that topic they could have searched Google and read all about it.
I have no problem with topics asking people their opinion of a game, but its when situations arise that i mentioned in my first post that i get annoyed, ie people asking others advice then not even taking the advice they are given.

I never said i took offense
I google and such but i dont have accounts on other forum sites (can't be bothered), i like asking here so i can personalize it to my tastes, as in i can actual respond myself to what people are suggesting, meaning i can ask for more details/explanation if i want. I also like asking here since i know a lot of the people here (hypothetically) better than on other sites, so i can weight my opinions based on people who are similar gamers to me or give answers i tend to value a bit more (someone like blackdragon gives answers i always really like, same with alexsays, corbie, etc stuff like that so to me i like having that connection)
To answer your last point, no post is ever necessary, whats necessary to you and chatham may not be necessary to me or someone else, so really those posts are just as necessary as every other post, sorry to be brash if i come across that way. and obviously the post/topic is valued to the person who makes the topic so its no one else's job to tell them what they have to say should stop.
Id much rather have a topic saying "can we stop the can we stop the threads", since i dont think its anyone's right to tell other people what they should post and what is a dumb post, since thats only your opinion. To me, telling people that they cant post this just because you dont like it makes it seem more like you think the internet revolves around YOU, not the others, since youre asking dont post things u want to see, post what i want to see, think about it

That reminds me: I should add more Let Me Google That For You links!
Chill out, dude... until NL has the 'user reviews' function up and running, I see nothing wrong with asking fellow users about their experience with Game A over Game B. I know this is a site that hosts reviews, but that's only one person, and there's a multitude of users who've played games through to the end on the forums who may be able to point out something important about a game that was overlooked by the reviewer who spent a couple hours with it.

interesting is a matter of personal taste, you can't say what you think is interesting is always or ever interesting to someone else. Sorry if im really sound like an asshole to you guys but im actually trying to be serious (for once lol). many topics you like a lot of other people probably don't like, so i guess you can't really say what you've just said and seriously think thats a good reason to tell other people to stop making their own personally interesting topics
@blackdragon thank you, thats the stuff im talkin about
I don't know eh, you go ahead n do it if you want. I'd just rather make my own mind up, always have, always will. It's called free-will and it's quite empowering. I'd stand in a game shop for ten minutes scratching my chin, before I asked a bunch of virtual strangers, and don't forget that's what we are. My internet persona is nothing like my actual self and I know I'm not the only one. But, next time you ask a question, I shall copy n paste into google/bing and give you a response.
@Chatham: and what if I want to know what people I like here have to say about it? if you don't like a thread, scroll past it. No one's forcing you to read it.

@machu Whatever, i dont think you get my point, i still have to decide which game im going to put my own money down for, im not telling anyone to spend the money on which game i should get for me lol. I still always have the final say, i am an individual after all...its pretty obvious. But your right, some people like getting more opinions, and some people like doing everything on their own, depends on your personality. Some games i wont ask about and will decide i am buying it no matter what just like corruption, yet some games i do have a hard time with, so i ask around, i like it that way, it floats my boat but no dont google things for me, im quite content with what i get here already . on your other point though, you're so right about how different you are on the internet, i doubt anyone would guess that i never talk in public and am probably the shyest person in my class lol
@theblackdragon Fair enough if there's a few people who need opinions, but it just seems like 90% of the posted threads can be summed up in the title of this thread.
