Topic: Share a song from your country

@OfNullAndVoid Haha, never been much of a gardener myself, or like you Dutch say, someone with green fingers. Most other, non-expats would probably interpret that label completely differently, though...

I myself have a rather large balcony overlooking the canals, and that's more than enough for me. Sometimes I have some plants on there, but they usually don't last that long, so then I get bored by them again, and take them away.

God, you know Magma ? o_O I'm shocked !

@Cobalt of all the French prog bands I think Magma are definitely the better known, internationally (beside Gong, but there weren't really French, they were just based in Paris). France is mainly known for its 60s pop music, but I don't think you can find a progressive rock fan in Europe that doesn't have a Magma album in their collection!

I can't believe this garbage is on the radio. But then again, radio music sucks.

@Cobalt ugh i really don't like hearing "Sei Stolz Deutscher, sei Stolz !" especially considering the pogroms we have in germany right now. i am so sick of this patriotic/nationalist stuff. you can not be proud of anything but your own deeds.

If I was, I'll be proud to be German. All my german friends are adorable people, smart and have a real sense of humour.
I spend almost my entire youth in German clubs and I met so much great people there...
Germany is a great country from my perspective. I always look straight ahead not in the past and it's a French dude who say that to you.

@Cobalt I heard it on the radio at work. Googled top 50 and it was the second one. Yes, as The Prætor said, humanity is indeed regressing.

Gonzaguinha's story is kinda sad. His father, Luiz Gonzaga was an extremely popular singer, but he was an absent father who didn't have a good relationship with his son. Gonzaguinha had a very different style from his father.
Unfortunately, he died in a car accident at 45 (1991). Just a year after recording the video I posted above...
