So I'm gonna be honest. I got Dust but haven't gotten super fat cause I find it extremely difficult, for some reason. That said, I agree with the rest of the entire furry fandom that Fidget is every kind of adorable imaginable.

Yes. A grey wolf who is a bit naive, and is terrible at geography, but kind and always trying to do the right thing no matter how many times he messes up.

I don't want to say more until I finalize more things. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of story I want him in...

DMFA, Original Life, and the Redwall Books come to mind. Still trying to find more, though. This isn't a big area I've looked into. And I've been trying to make my own furry stories, but I keep getting distracted...

I may list others, when I actually think of them. X3 I don't watch much TV and movies aren't really my thing, either so my pool is rather limited and extremely obvious. That said, I am actually not a fan of the Khajit from The Elder Scrolls. Call me shallow, but their look just kinda pushes me away. I still choose them because Khajit are theives and I almost always play a theif, but I'm really not fond of the design.

Mmm, I know a good number of furry artists that primarily do SFW stuff, but I can only think of one off the top of my head that I've never seen with a red border pic, being Nataya.

There's also Jade, a close friend of mine, who seems to prefer SFW art, but isn't opposed to something else, and Haychel, who also gets commissioned for some NSFW work, but seems to prefer (and honestly excel at) Safe For Wuff pieces.

Finally I know Rannades, who has two accounts. Her first account, wolfmoondesires is the safe one. Her second, Ranblush is not. She hasn't posted anything on the second account in months, so she's pretty good to check out. In fact, I requested a piece from her that I'll share later, if I can get a hold of it. (The files aren't with me.)

OH HOW COULD I FORGET! Pixen Snowleopard! I've never seen her do anything with a red border, either! Too bad she disappeared off the face of the net a while back. >:

Yes, but the more I describe him, the more he sounds like a sparkledog, so let's keep it simple and just say that he's a shape-shifter with an affinity for a lupine shape.

Aside from all the obvious answers, I personally quite like The Sight and Fell by David Clement-Davies. I also love reading DMFA, Two Kinds, and Slightly Damned. All SFW, though I'd like to see you try explaining reading any of these at work to your boss. X3

Also, what I find funny is that most people assume that furry artists draw stuff that's nsfw, when in reality, at least 90% of artists in general have drawn something nsfw in their lifetime. I don't write any, but the Sly Cooper games have excellent storys if they work for discussion here. Also a lot of storys revolving around Tigger.

Btw, DMFA is on Katbox now, which is a startling development! Actually they've gotten a lot of decent-looking comics recently-ish, though obviously I'll have to investigate them further. They've certainly come a long way from the softcore hovel it started out as. Besides DMFA, I'm thinking of checking out Anthronauts and maybe Uber Quest. Still gotta check out iMew and Carribean Blue, too.

Edit: wow, half of the new ones all involve the same creators...

The majority are far more humanoid than the Star Fox types, but it's definitely not bad to start there. Can't tell you how many people I've met that are only familiar with furries because of Star Fox. Funny enough, no one seems to realize how deep into furry territory Looney Toons really is, but eh. Let 'em have their illusions.
