@TwilightAngel: Because a lot assume that Nintendo also has treated their employees badly and that's why I wanted to say this.

Yes, its sad to say something off topic but all these news about employee treatment makes me wonder whether Nintendo is bound to do this at some point. And personally, I don't want this to happen even after I die. Gamers need games that will develop their childhood life but the way these third party games make games not to mention the shovelware as well just shows that new gamers will probably not have gaming memories like we all have.

@OneBagTravel: That doesn't mean anything when they even tell the interviewer not to mention anything about Hideo Kojima or have microtransactions for MGSV.

I don't know why people getting so negative about a spinoff to the Castlevania franchise. It doesn't mean the franchise is dead. Konami has done this before. They were Pachislot Akumajō Dracula and it's sequel.

@NightmareEater: I can see that you'd want to defend Konami here......and that's fine but who abuses their franchise into a game about making out or doing something that is irrelevant to the entire franchise itself? Just because its a spin-off doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with it.

Cautiously points to Metroid Prime Federation Force.

Although it may not be a good representation of it's franchise (since it gives up some of the franchise's key features), I don't think it's entirely irrelevant and unrelated to the Metroid franchise and universe.

The spinoff has nothing to do with making out. (Although there's partial nudity.) Plus, others franchises has done whatever they wanted to do with spinoff titles. (Although it's often terrible and unneeded.) Here's a example:
Animal Crossing Ambiio Party
Sonic Boom Ice and Fire
Federation Force
Klonoa volleyball
KH Vcast

@TwilightAngel: I seen the trailer. The only thing I seen was two unknown females and Richter Belmont going against Dracula and probably Death. Of course, unless you're talking about that quick butt and boob scene.

@NightmareEater: It's a stab to the fans who been waiting for a new Castlevania game. But don't you know it,it's a new trailer for a new Pachinko game.

At the very least Metroid Prime Federation Force is a GAME. That "game" is nothing more than pachinko with the name "Castlevania" slapped onto them to generate more sales. Fed Force is TRYING to be a game that stays in the source material like it or not. This is nothing more than Konami trying to get a quick cash grab on both Castlevania fans and fans of pachinko games. I'm not angry at the game itself. I never played pachinko in my life so I shouldn't be judging it's quality. I am annoyed at how Konami thinks that putting a name that has NO REASON TO BE THERE will be accepted by the community.

The fact you are reading this proves you are able to have an attention span longer than me. Well done sir or madam!

Just to tell ya, Konami has done this before with Castlevaina. The previous pachinko titles were "Pachislot Akumajō Dracula" and it's sequel. Plus, Federation Force isn't trying at all. It's a lousy spinoff to Metriod Prime. Most fans are dissapointed of Federation Force. We waited for a proper Metriod game. But instead, we got the middle finger from Nintendo.

Whether they treat employees badly or not, I can't honestly say I'm all that invested in Konami anymore. Beyond MGS5, they have nothing else that interests me at all. I was really excited about Silent Hills, but now that's been cancelled there's not really anything left for me.

Yes, I like bears.

@NightmareEater: Ignoring Fed Force (because that's for an entirely different thread which we can discuss our opinions there, wouldn't mind doing actually) you could say the same for Castlevania. People have waited for a Castlevania game for a long while now and instead of making one that ISNT a God of War clone and instead making one in the style of the originals they get a Pachinko game. It's interesting how both subjects are similar however the big difference is one is on a console. With buttons. Which people can play worldwide. The other is an arcade machine...

@NightmareEater: I bet they released it after a true Castelvania game has been released. So no one cared. This? They knew what they were doing, and the reason people are saying Castlevania is dead.Because Konami doesn't care anymore, they like screwing every fan they had, even if they do release a new one. The damage is done

There seems to be a lot that claim that Nintendo treats their employees like dirt and I don't see how that's completely the case since there's a lot of evidence that Nintendo DOES take care of their employees.

However, looking at Konami, I cannot help but wonder whether the next CEO could screw up Nintendo just like the CEO of Konami and whatnot. What happens to the day that Miyamoto-san and Genyo-san pass away. They are the only ones that know how Nintendo should be throughout the entire life. If someone were to change Nintendo's ultimate goal into something not even consumers would want, then video games may no longer exist in the long term. Think about it. Nintendo is the sole reason why gaming doesn't feel "cheap" because they keep reminding us how powerful technology doesn't necessarily mean a good quality game and that is true.

With a horrible reputation Konami is having right now, I can see them either going bankrupt anytime soon or that their shareholders giving up on Konami.

I do wish that Nintendo does purchase Hudson's IP which can really benefit Nintendo a lot. Bomberman is a great fit for them.

Konami is still run by the same CEO/owner that started the company, so he is the one that is making all of these changes knowing full well he is cutting ties with the companies past.

And the shareholders won't be giving up on them because they actually have diversified revenue streams I the mobile space as well as successful gambling and fitness center operations. From a business standpoint, the company probably is heading in the right direction based on recent Japanese gaming trends, but it still sucks having grown up on the company.

@Barely_Able: Just because they are doing what the shareholders want them to do doesn't necessarily mean that they will be satisfied if the games themselves aren't profitable to begin with. Just recently, SEGA made a HUGE loss and they didn't even blame themselves for failing to deliver quality games.

Does every discussion with you turn into a Nintendo sidebar?

Seriously it's almost pathological...

In more Konami news...Silent Hill pachinko machine! Sure, cancel silent hills and get rid of your best chance to resurrect a franchise in steady decline and make it a slot machine. Makes sense! Not sure why they couldn't do both. Must be laser focused on keeping the revenues high and expenditures low since a game like silent hills was bound to cost a lot with the talent in charge.
