Topic: Sad News From The Boston Marathon....

It's sad what the world has become, and dangers at the most dumbest or unexpected places. Senseless violence people that have nothing to do with whatever is going on are a target, poor people.

Thank god, my family member is fine. Hope everybody else's family and friends are fine as well. My eyes are glued to the news, there's a lot of injured people. This is horrific.

Unfortunately, you are very correct, Kitty. We live in a world full of cowards these days.

Being a runner myself, I've ran lots of races over the years. The thought of explosions going off near the Finish Line has never crossed my mind. Heartbreaking. My prayers and thoughts go out to those affected.

Sadly, I think the world has always been a violent place. It's really rather recent that humans live relatively "peacefully" with one another in this world.

My thoughts and prayers are for those in Boston.

23 injured, the police are acknowledging it as a bomb, so it had to be intentional. So many people in wheelchairs and stretchers, some completely covered... It breaks my heart.

Just terrible. I just can't comprehend what drives people to commit such violent acts against other human beings.

I hope and pray that things will be cleared up in this situation. This will be especially hard on the families of those who are hurt or killed.

The people responsible are cruel monsters but theres no need to talk like that, specially with all the tragedies still on going. Two wrongs don't make a right.

The police are telling people to evacuate the city, they say the threat remains. Two more bombs have been found, they're trying to get rid of them.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard this as I have a family member who almost participated in the marathon. My thoughts go out to those that were affected.

WBZ in Boston is reporting 2 dead and 22 injured. They also found a 3rd unexploded backpack. This was always a day of happiness in Boston. I always loved watching the joy of the fans there, reporters putting away any bad news and of course the runners. Today all that happiness ruined by hate.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this but honestly is this the kinda of thing to talk about on a gaming website.

There isn't exactly much discussion to be had here. I dare say this site really isn't the place for a thread like this.

Considering how many people were in the area (the Boston Marathon is hardly a small public event) and how horrifying and grisly the footage and reports are, it's almost a relief (I really wish I could think of a better word) that there've "only" been 2 reported fatalities and 23 reported injured. Hopefully, neither of those numbers rise and the authorities quickly apprehend the culprits behind this. There shouldn't be any place for violence like this in a modern world.

Lucky I have CNN in my country. I'm watching and hoping every victim in the hospital survives.

I've been following this on the news all afternoon. It's a horrific event, and I pray for those injured & their families.

Also, lets hope this doesn't make North Korea more desperate for attention. Today was supposed to be their big day (the birthday of the first generation dictator), and I'm sure they're not too pleased to be taken out of the headlines after their weeks of blustering.

Now 3 bombs. This is awful. Even if you aren't religious, just keep the wounded and killed in your thoughts.
