Some unconfirmed news via www.wiisos.com that Shigeru Miyamoto, game designer and developer of Nintendo, one of the most prestigious developers known today, famous for being the creator of Super Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and other famous Nintendo franchises and considered the best game designer in history, announced he will retire from the Big N at the end of 2010, due to differences with the company.

The father of Mario Bros. has not given details about the "differences" they have with Nintendo, but an internal source asserts that Miyamoto does not like the direction being taken by the company with respect to the hardcore gamers, who Shigeru feels disappointed to have to focus more on games for casual gamers.
Miyamoto has been talking about Nintendo lately without much hesitation like before, so it seems that there is less respect from Nintendo and out siders. Other major developers and various other workers within the industry have been poking Shigeru Miyamoto, plastering all other gaming sites that he is now a liability toNintendo and should retire. Maybe this disrespect had pushed him to wan't to retire early? who knows, lets wait and see.

One of my friends linked me to this. Speculate! :3

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I just don't want him to leave. He might go to the dark side! (Microsoft and Sony, or start a new company)

doesn't make sense because Miyamoto was the one who pushed the Blue Ocean strategy. Also i think its the strict rules put over him. I recall in an interview he stated that he wasn't allowed to talk about his hobbies anymore due to that being where his ideas come from.

I don't think he should retire but do more casuel stuff and foucs on new IPs while leaving zedla to Aumora and Mario to the director of Galaxy.

WAT!

It better not happen. He's been to influencial to leave Nintendo right now, the company would do his will if he tried to leave.

sounds like nonsense seeing that Miyamoto was the driving force behind "casual" titles like Wii Fit and Wii Sports

It is an unconfirmed rumor and since it is off of a rumor off a forum it is hard for me to take seriously. Besides when I typed www.wiisos.com it brought up nothing.

List of Things Miyamoto WON'T Do:

1. Leave his personal planet of money.
2. Leave Nintendo.
3. Leave the Nintendo Ninja Squad (NNS for short) leaderless.
4. Attempt to leave Nintendo.

Kidding aside, It's probably just people trying to get attention through making up completely idiotic rumors.

Sounds like baloney to me too, for many of the same reasons. However, Miyamoto is getting up there, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire soonish. Hasn't he been at Ninty for something like 30 years now? As long as he wants to stay around though, I'm happy to play his games.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Let's hope it isn't true. Nintendo would be insane to let Miyamoto leave.

Agreed. Retiring I can believe; retiring because he feels sad for core gamers? Utter crap.
