So so far these are the entrants I'm aware of: There are 24 in total, leaving 6 spaces left

Cody Rhodes
Ted DiBiase
Mark Henry
Evan Bourne
Chris Jericho
CM Punk
John Cena
Jack Swagger
Santino Marella
Montel Vontavious Porter
The Miz
Shawn Michaels
The Big Show
Triple H
Carlito
Kofi Kingston
Shelton Benjamin
Yoshi Tatsu
William Regal
Zack Ryder
The Hurricane
Batista
The Great Khali
Kane

Personally, the wrestlers with the greatest chance to win it IMO are Shawn Michaels, Batista, Triple H, John Cena. Just the usual crowd. The wrestlers that I'd like to see win it however are out of Kane, Jack Swagger and Chris Jericho.

Who would you like to see win it? Jack Swagger is a personal favourite of mine, and for whatever reason the WWE kinda stopped pushing him once he went to Raw...

Jack Swagger is great in the ring and has a nice flow to his style, but his lisp makes it tough to take him seriously on the mic. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I just always picture Elmer Fudd When he needs to get through a string of S sounds.

I'd love for Swagger to win, but i think Vince has pretty much made clear that they're just not going to get behind him for now. I'd like to see Cody or DiBiase, some one out of the ordinary. Regal is a personal favortie wrestler, but he won't (and shouldn't) win it; i'd like to see him in there in the late stages though.

As long as it's NOT Cena, HHH, HBK or the usual suspects, i'll be happy.

Yeah, I love to see someone unexpected win the Rumble, someone who hasn't won it before, so Rhodes/DiBiase/Swagger/Morrison would be a winner in my eyes, all are capable of putting on a thrilling match

Shawn Michaels cause i want to see another epic match between Undertaker and Shawn at wrestlemania, i don't care if he lost again as long as i see it happen again.

I was gonna do this.... but I have a few distinct favorites:

(Shifts into SylverstoneShoots mode)

My leading favorite to win is John Morrison, as he has a lot of charisma as a singles talent and he's seems pretty ready to try for a world title shot.
Next is Kofi Kingston. Never have I seen such immense talent (since John Morrison's turnaround on ECW). I saw his actions on ECW and he was pretty decent. He's now a household name on RAW in my opinion.
Of course, I am gunning for Shawn Michaels to hit the jackpot and face Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26, though it may mean the end of D-Generation X if he wins and takes Taker's title (and his streak... I'm still gunning for 18-0).

The other 6 I'm looking to make a good impact are:

  • Ted DiBiase - great young talent, looking to follow in his dad's footsteps.
  • Triple H - hey, he's the Game. What else can I say?
  • Batista - cocky, brash attitude may get him sometime this time instead of his injury bed.
  • John Cena - well, he's pretty good but I personally don't want a Cena rumble win. He has a chance at the WWE Title at No Way Out (now WWE Elimination Chamber) to me.
  • Chris Jericho - well, he's the best in the world at what he does. I still hate him.
  • Kane - In 2001, he eliminated 11 people. He's a good favorite to try and make a big impact.

Crazy choice to try something:

  • The Hurricane - Stand back! There's a hurricane coming through!

And if this is possibly true (or spoiler-ish, it's not confirmed): The Rated R Superstar, Edge!

The Ultimate Opportunist has a chance to win the whole thing and make it to Wrestlemania 26. And this time, he may be a good guy.

I predict HBK to win the Rumble.

My feeling is this is how the next couple of months will go-
HBK wins the Rumble then challenges Taker setting up Mania
@ next months EC PPV Sheamus somehow screws HHH out of the title setting up a Mania match between them

That way DX can main event both matches at Mania, Cena is out of the top spot for the first time in a while and WWE says they are "changing things up" (while still keeping things the same).

I don' t think a Undertaker vs. HBK rematch alone would be enough, so that is why I think HBK will win the Royal Rumble so it will be a title match at Wrestlemania.

I'm really hoping HBK doesn't win the Rumble, even though i'd like another UT vs HBK at Mania. There's plenty of other ways they could get to that match. Plus, i think it's unlikely, as it's been over-telegraphed -- kind of a corrolary to the old "inverse momentum" rule in wrestling (that being, more often than not the wrestler who had the momentum going into a big match is likely to be the loser). It's another "rule" that when there's so much speculation on the outcome resulting from a win, that wrestler is unlikely to win (example: any "Rey may lose his mask!" match).

Of course, there are no hard and fast rules in wrestling. We're going to see HBK vs UT at Mania. That's basically a given. I'd much rather that they do it in a more compelling way -- HBK winning the Rumble for the shot makes for a decent story, but it's also a bit lazy.

Am I the only guy who doesn't want Michaels to face Undertaker AGAIN?

Yes, I wanted their last one to be match of the year, but I'd rather see someone else gun for him and try to top his streak. I have a feeling that if they do make this match, Michaels will win this time, and there'd be no point to the streak anymore. Michaels isn't gonna be around forever, he doesn't need that win added to his career.

If ANYONE was gonna beat Undertaker at Wrestlemania, I'd hope that it'd be someone young, brash and talented that the WWE have invested a lot of time into, and someone who's gonna stick around the WWE for many years to come. Someone who can be heel and use the "I beat Undertaker at Wrestlemania!" to get under everyone's skin, akin to Jericho who beat "Stone Cold and The Rock in one night", which, when you think about it, is just as epic.

@Chunky Droid
I agree on the streak issue. At this point, i think it should always remain unbroken. And i really don't see HBK breaking the streak, so there is a certain amount of "been there, done that" to their match-up. I also agree that if the streak is ever broken, it has to be by someone who can use the push -- the Jericho analogy is spot-on. I don't know that they have anyone on the roster now that it would work for (aside from guys like Orton or Jericho, who are already well-established); but for someone on like a Swagger-level (assuming they actually ever pushed him right) it would be a career-maker.

@Chunky Droid- I also agree with you on The Streak. I spent a lot of years in wrestling (following, actually wrestling and booking) and this is what I would do (DX isn't involved since they will never need the rub, they have their spots)

Orton beats Sheamus with a schmoz finish so Sheamus doesn't lose any heat and people remember Randy is a heel

Kofi wins the Rumble and continues his feud with Orton with a title match at Mania then add Cena to the mix and make it a 3-way dance for the title.

Sheamus wins a #1 contender match at Elimination Chamber against DX, Big Show and Jericho for a shot at Taker

During the Mania 3-way, Cena screws over Kofi to win the title and turn heel (which most people are ready for) starting up a Cena/Kofi feud

Sheamus goes over Taker ending the streak and walking out as the World Champion.

Nice insight. If Cena goes heel, he should use Word Life as his theme again.

Anyone heard anything else about Cena's disc injuries ? Was wondering if he could handle a full time schedule much longer or if he is going to be alright working through it. I think it is time for the guy to go heel as his babyface portrayal has been annoying me for years.

Since Triple H and Sheamus are real life friends and weight lifting buddies, I would rather see those two feud at some point.

My Rumble prediction is since he is still under contract but he has not seen much air time in recent years. My prediction winner is ....................
