What are your predictions. Do NOT say Rush, because they're not being inducted any time soon. The RRHOF doesn't like 70s rock at this moment. Prog is also too complex for the average person, and therefore unattractive to the Hall. Metal will also be neglected for years.

StarFox, I know you say don't say Rush, but I'm gonna say Rush anyway. I mean Tom Sawyer is listed as one of the 100 greatest classic rock songs. The RnRHOF picks artists that are unique and hit-based, and Rush is very unique because of their general style, and they were probably the heaviest prog band and they re invented it, now called Prog Metal. And they've had some great hits and albums throughout the 80's and since I Love You, Man, they've gotten a boost of popularity. I mean I'm a Rush fan so that's why I'm ranting but I'm thinking the RnRHOF is making a huge mistake. Just my opinion. If 1 hit wonder Devo has a shot, so should Rush.
I'm going to say Rush too; there shouldn't even be a question about it. Rush absolutely deserves it far more than over half of the bands/artists StarFox listed (Janet Jackson? Are you f'n serious?). Hands down, one of the greatest rock bands -- and greatest bands PERIOD -- of all time.
I`m saying Rush, because I am Canadian and saw them about a month or two ago. AWESOME!
Also, Triumph has recently been inducted (a couple years ago, or maybe less than a year...), has the Tragically Hip?

Hey Kid A, I saw that you mentioned Radiohead as the pioneers of modern rock. I love them too, they're actually my favorite band, but you should check out The Smiths if you haven't yet. In a way - a very respectfully intended way - Coldplay : Radiohead :: Radiohead : The Smiths.
I was big into The Smiths back in high school, very underappreciated band (and obviously overshadowed by Morrissey's subsequent solo career, though i never really cared for the vast majority of his solo stuff).
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

The Smiths were overshadowed by his solo career? I was a massive Smiths fan, still kind of am, but after Viva Hate, Morrissey went down the tubes in my opinion.

Overshadowed in the sense that in my experience, a lot of people are familiar with Morrissey, but not nearly as many know The Smiths, which i always found weird (especially since The Smiths were far superior).
