When I realized roleplayer's realm was a Gamepro podcast I lost it. Hopefully Kat lands at IGN or continues her podcast.

Really disliked the magazine but sometimes enjoyed the website. Sad to see them go, at any rate.

I work for the company that owns (owned) GamePro, and I've worked for GamePro in the past. I'm a fan of it.

I had the first issue of Gamepro and had a subscription alway up until the Saturn/PS one era. Sad to see it go it was a great magazine! I used to love the old rating scale with the happy and sad faces. Classic stuff

print Magazine's are dying. Unlike publications like Time or WSJ with a loyal fanbase or others such as Vouge,GQ, and blackbook which lend themselves to print more than digital.

You should show some respect dude. All those people just lost their jobs, and won't be able to put food on their tables for a while. Or buy new games.

I used to read GamePro every month like clockwork back before the internet came along. Sad news indeed.

You must give respect before you can earn it. As a gaming magazine I've grown to dislike them over the years.

Yeah, the gaming industry doesn't really suit print magazines. People as a whole are more interested in immediate news and "free" content then in-depth reporting and paying for high-quality writers.

Not that there aren't some high quality games writers out there working online, but it's a pretty tough ask to make money out of it.

Hopefully alot of these guys can find work at other sites and publications.

I can't see Nintendo Power being around in the next 5 years or so. The only other magazine I can think of is Gameinformer. But they're going strong.

@TBD I'm not celebrating. _{Trust me I party for much better things in life.} Rather it's a relief. They didn't have much talent anyways. I remember one of the writers there copying another sites review word for word. Conduit maybe? I can't remember the game, lol.

It sucks. Was looking over an issue of Gameinformer and it reminded me how much I love the format of in-depth previews and reviews. You rarley get the same type of attention to detail (typeography,Page layout, distinct writing style) that you don't really get with most websites.
