Topic: Repairing disc scratches?

Thanks for the tips guys. After testing the games out, they seem to play fine and none of the FMV scenes skip or anything. So I am probably just going to leave them alone. I'd rather have a game that looks ugly than have a game that doesn't work as I have heard that resurfacing machines and toothpaste can actually damage the games if you aren't careful.

How do I repair disc scratches? I buy a new disc.

brooks83

Well that's great if you're made of money. And for older games it's harder to find them in good condition.

I don't need to be made of money, my discs all in immaculate condition! I almost never have to replace them. But when I do, I buy them brand new. That's how I repair discs!

Well I have never had to replace a disc that I have bought brand new, like you I take very good care of my discs. But if you want to buy PS1 games or discs from any of the older systems, it's hard to find them still factory sealed. And sadly most people don't know how to take care of their games, and when you buy them used they probably won't be in the greatest shape.

Plus, when you do find them factory sealed, they usually cost a bundle. I had to buy Brave Fencer Musashi for 160 dollars. Ouch!

What I said was, that I didn't need to be made of money! But no, I'm not made of money. I am, however, a pretty wise spender, so I get by.
