The basic attitude seems to be "I don't go to those sites, so the community there is terrible!". Reddit is a site with subreddits about literally anything. Some of the communities are bad, many are not. A lot of it is up to your own opinion, and you can choose which you subscribe to and view. If this site was a subreddit, it wouldn't be toxic, but it would be a very round-about, with little tolerance for outside opinion (How many times do we see people whining about another "Nintendo is doomed" thread just because it has some criticism or negative connotation - it's almost like a reflex). Coming back here makes me surprised just how closed-minded some people are, but then again, we're talking about a site devoted to a single company. Cant really expect not to attract those people.
Reddits are like forums: 99% of the people there are stupid, it's just about the kind of stupid you're willing to tolerate so you can converse with the 1% that's worth talking to. I'm immune to most of the stupidity that goes on around here. But the things I've seen on Reddit, Youtube, and 4Chan are things I never want to repeat or see repeated ever again. I can't put up with the bullcrap that goes on at any of those places. I'd rather go back to 2008's IGN than go back to 4Chan...
I just lurk the amiibo portion part of reddit whenever they have certain release events in my area, just to see of it's worth the travel and wait or not. Otherwise I don't dig too deep in the rabbit hole.
A dying animal struggles, thrashes and howls in protest as its life torn from it. To see this in action, watch Animal Planet. The same thing happens when a video game is or isn't released. To see this in action, stay here.
