OK a bit of a strange thread here. Basically I've been listening to some tunes from some of my favourite games and, despite how much I love them, there's absolutely nothing like it (or very little) in my music collection. Now I'm not looking to add game music to my playlist, but I'd like to find some bands that produce a similar sound. I'm not talking about the same tunes or remixes, just original songs that would fit nicely into a certain game's soundtrack. Maybe even suggest the band themselves that originally produced it?
For example I'm a big fan of the Final Fight CD soundtrack - you think finding something similar would be easy but I'm not having much luck. I think it's awesome and would love to hear something like that. Another is Jet Set Radio - obviously you the artists that contributed to the western version but I'd like to hear more of that Japanese hip hop style so some suggestions would be appreciated.
Also if there's a style of music in a game you'd like to hear more of then suggest some yourself and see if we can find anything.
