I'm going to pick one up but probably not at launch. I'll let the library build a bit before jumping in (like I really should have done with the Wii U).

It's evil! It will suck out your soul! Don't stare directly into its camera, it will make you go blind!
But seriously, it's a $500 pile o' poo when compared to the PS4. It's cheap, and though they have back-pedaled on their used game policy and things like that, it certainly wasn't handled well. I think they only did that because they finally realized nobody would buy it if they didnt, I don't think they actually wanted to. Not to mention the Kinect always being on, monitoring your living room for advertising; the worst part being that someone could easily hack into your camera, allowing someone to we what you're doing. I mean, there are so many reasons to not buy the console even still. I don't think it's worth the money, especially compared to the PS4, and I think anyone who buys it is ultimately cheating themselves. But it's their money.

LOL! You have explained exactly what the Xbox One is and how bad it is.
I care not about microsofts games, except Fable. Fable I will play on PC, as I have been doing since Lost Chapters.

It's a console that I plan on buying eventually, but not at launch. The PS4 looks a lot better and it's cheaper. I'll likely buy a Xbox One when Kingdom Hearts III is out (and that won't happen until 2015 at the earliest), because I want both versions of KHIII. By then, the Xbox One should have at least several exclusives that I want to play, the hardware bugs should be ironed out (I don't trust in the quality of Microsoft's consoles after the Xbox 360 fiasco), and it might be cheaper by then.
I always want to have all consoles to experience every single game that I want during this generation. Of course, if Microsoft decides to bring the DRM back, then I won't buy a Xbox One. But I think DRM is permanently dead on the Xbox One. It'll likely be brought back for it's next console sadly.
I wish it wasn't as expensive as $500. Because it has plenty of interesting titles. Plants VS Zombies Garden Warfare, Killer Instinct, Crimson Dragon, Quantum Break, and Titanfall interests me. They're unique games, and if the console was the same price as the PS4, I would actually buy it.
Interesting responses to this gens consoles. For what I gathered alot of you are on the fence with this gens consoles which isn't too surprising. Ok time for another one.
Since its the 30th anniversary for the Famicom I am going to celebrate it in style QotD style.
Question# 441: Did you ever own a NES as a child? Or if you still are a child do you own a NES? If so whats some of your fondest memories with it?
My answer. Yes I did in fact the NES is how I got into video games in the first place. I have to say the fondest memory that I have (and I have alot) was the the day is was released in NA. It actually was released on my 7th birthday and my dad took me down to a store called Circuit City and picked me up one for my birthday. I remember the car ride home taking so long that day which normal was about a 10 minute drive. We got home hooked it up to the tv everyone gathered around it and BAM there was the Mushroom Kingdom for the first time. That day I had friends over for a party and despite my mother having party games like pin the tail on the donkey, some videos for us to watch everyone was engrossed in the NES for obvious reasons. lol So many years later it is still one of my favorite systems.

I wish.
My first video game memories are playing Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color with family and friends who owned them.
My first owned game systems were the Game Boy Advance and the GameCube.
So I'm joining the two above me
