Topic: Question about Gamestop EDGE Card

So,earlier today I went to Gamestop to purchase a $20 eShop card the cashier there gave me anEDGE Card despite me not asking for one. I went through the sign up process but I heard that to use the card it's a $15 subscription which I'm not interested in. Will I still get charged if I don't accept the verification e-mail? I really have no need for this card and want to get rid of it. Can O just throw away the card? Thank you for any help.

In my area they have the same thing, but it's called the Power Up Rewards card. There's a free version that you have. You can continue to use that, and you'll be fine. You won't have to pay a dime. You don't even have to use it if you don't want to. The $15 subscription gives you around 10% off used games (which isn't as much as it seems, trust me) and a 10% boost when trading in games. You also get 12 issues of Game Informer magazine. Unless you go to Gamestop for every game purchase, and buy lots of used games, or want to ready GI, the $15 version of the card is kind of a waste.

The $15 comes with a subscription and the Power up rewards discounts (10% off all used games and accesories, trade in bonus, etc.)

If you buy or sell a combined total of $150 worth of games (used), you get your money's worth from it

I use the power up rewards it's been helpful to me when I sold my Wii games (made over $200) and when I sold my DS games (which got me around $300). As of now I have enough points to print out a $50 coupon too. It just depends on how you shop really.

Back when I had more money to throw around I got the paid one and I quite liked it (also, when the subscription runs out, the card reverts to "free" status, instead of simply being rendered useless).
