Topic: Project Cafe: Mario Kart or "Nintendo" kart?

It would be quite interesting, but considering the fact that there is already Super Smash Bros, I highly doubt it. Also, Mario Kart is doing well (Sales wise), so I don't see them changing the name anytime soon.

I want Samus Kart. It could just be like eight Samuses in skin-tight suits with wheels on the hands and feet scooting around.

I think this would be Sega and Sonic All-Stars racing again just with Nintendo characters instead of SEGA ones

As long as the characters and tracks really fit into the ultra-cute and mega-coloured world of Mario i wouldnt have any problem with them being in a "Mario + Nintendo Kart" game. That is as long as they won't get their own racing games (Kirby, Donkey Kong and Chocobo come to mind). And Captain Falco, Samus or Snake throwing shells and bananas ? Absolutely out of place in my opinion.
But if they would find a way to incorporate special abilities for each of the characters into the game it could really be sweet. All characters would share some basic set of items like shells, bananas and bombs while having their own special attack too.

• Mario - fireballs
• Captain Olimar - Pikmin

  Of course i don't know if it really would work but at least its an idea to change something about the franchise other than using bicycles, boats or whatever.

@LTD Nothing wrong with bikes. :3 Okay, they're quicker, they can do wheelies and can whip around corners at lightning speeds. On second thought... ditch the bikes... the items need to be dummed down too, you can get severly molested by items in Mario Kart Wii. Red shell, banana, POW block, cloud, lightning, blue shell... and with 12 racers, these things are so common its ridiculous.
