Topic: Possibly the worst "gamer" ever ?

I got the chance to talk to one of our new apprentices a little longer than just lunch break and we soon found a common hobby of ours: gaming.
He started by telling me, that he was and still is a HUGE pokemon fan, almost a guru since he pretty much knows anything from any game...at least thats what he told, and that he was a dedicated "gamer" from the humble beginnings. Sounds quite awesome, doesnt it ? But there is a catch...a huuuge one...
Here are some details about his "gamer from the humble beginning" career:

• He stiffly that the SNES was Nintendos first succesfull console, because thats what he started with, and that the NES is mostly known today through emulation and "that nobody owned that old thing back then"
• When asked about his favourite games from the SNES, he mostly comes up with licensed games and football / soccer
  He never owned of played an "original" pokemon game, he emulated the games up to the GBA and used flashcards for the DS titles
  He wont be getting a 3DS for Pokemon X/Y because: 1) it costs too much for a system that then, only has one good game and 2) he never found anything about a working flash card for it
  Talking about console pricing: He will DEFINITLY getting a PS4. Why ? Because of Call of Duty - Ghosts of cause. Why that ? Because there is nothing else that interests him.
  Talking about CoD: In his opinion, its the best franchises next to pokemon. But he never played a single match online. He thinks that these games provide one of the best storylines of all time and are matched by none when it comes to (and here comes a big one) "leaving the player freedom in doing missions the way he wants"
  He currently owns to home consoles: A Wii and an Xbox360. He has no games besides call of duty, fifa and sponge bob games on both systems.
  He says that his Wii Sensor Bar is broken and that he uses the infamous "candle trick" instead, since it provides a good way of limiting his game time.
  Both of his systems are moded to play copyd games
  When asked about a few other competetive online games i play with my friends: Street Fighter = Boring Button Mashing, BlazBlue = Never heard of it, so it must be a niche, flop game and cant be that good.
  He knows about MegaMan...it was that funny cartoon show that used to air on saturdays, right ?

NOTICE! The whole topic is not to be taken THAT seriously, ableit everything is definitly true. I dont mind what he likes or what he does with his stuff at all, hes a really nice guy. But i think that i should NEVER talk to him about games ever again, or ill smash his head in with something heavy

if that guy was serious I'll say I'm the only REAL gamer since the begining of videogames because I started with nintendo 64 because Namco museum is superior to anything that ever existed before the N64 and that I'm the biggest fan ever of F-Zero because I've never played it!!!!! and I'll say that playstation and XBox are the best consoles ever because I never had those and how Halo has the most complete and meaningful RPG elements that the old final fantasy never had and how every PC is a dedicated Gaming machine that needs weaker and cheaper hardware compared to actual videogames that are analog computers made for working, and to make things better I'll say how the WiiU is the best Sony console ever and how Microsoft owns the IOS!

@NintenDude97 From what i have seen on here, not by a long shot And whats so bad about the occasional "bang your head against a wall" thread ? It wasnt meant to be all that serious and i wrote it purely out of boredom
And people seem to enjoy themselfes, some find a taste like that aweful, others just waste their time searching for fitting meme pics

it's a good thread! it could be better if people tried harder to make it funny. but if it isn't dropped soon it might end being my favorite thread!

@GustavoSF I also have no idea why people are so serious about stuff like that ? If it was a pure "troll thread" sure, i could wite stupid stuff all day. But these statements are, sadly, all true. Like i said, dont take it that serious, its not meant to be a rant aginst "all people not thinking like me are idiots" but some of these statements are points, everyone makes about the "downfall of gaming" when bummer news turn up on the main page.
So, it was meant to be some sort of: Lets laugh about funny opinions on games in general and maybe talk about the view on gaming today in general" kinda thread.
If this stuff would have been purely fictional, i guess i would have gone waaay more overboard.

@GustavoSF You have NO idea what its like when i get seriously bored I guess i would have sat here for hours, collecting each and every bad gamer trope in existance and created my personal "anti gamer"
Why i wrote that is simple: i was super pissed about the castlevania / konami news (mirror HD remake) and remembered my conversation with him. He impersonates everything people beleave to be the reason why the whole gaming industry is taking a steep downward spiral. So, i wrote it all down since i really had nothing better to do right now (waiting for an important mail to continue working) and was expecting one of two things: a good discussion or, what actually happend, a thread full of witty remarks and stupid meme pics
I laughed and got over the stupid news article Mission accomplished
