Hey @Gansano, Limered Teahouse like the one in Western MA? That's awesome! I've heard of that place if you are talking about the same place. I went to college in the Pioneer Valley so I lived in that area for a while.

Feel free to add me!

@Varia01, that's awesome! How are you enjoying the new games? Is this your first time playing DKCR? I am playing it on 3DS and loving it.

Feel free to add me!

@Pinkie_Pikpik: Good for you, man!

Today, my family sold all of our Wii U games (There were only four) since the Wii U itself was stolen and got at least $100. We sold it at GameStop. We used that hundred to buy 5 Wii games.
Sonic Unleashed
Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes
Lego Lord of the Rings
Donkey Kong Country: Returns
Epic Mickey
I am hyped to play them.

4x60=180(what you payed)-100(what you got back) and you're at a loss of $80, 4/5 of what you received back. Maybe you should have sold them to a used games store.

But anyway, I guess you did get 5 Wii games, 2 of which are laggy as heck when you play in multiplayer... I should stop mathing now.

@maxcriden: Sonic Unleashed started out frustrating, but it's getting better. I really love Donkey Kong. It is one of the best games I've ever played! Lego Batman 2 and Lord of the Rings are creative and nifty. I have not played Epic Mickey yet, though.

@Happy_Mask: These were bought at Gamestop with some of them being pre-owned. I am truly unsure of the prices for each game.

Went on family's annual camping trip in epic rainfall. Our tents did not get wet. Thanks tarp!

@Gansano Are you kidding? Amazing tea is the positive of any day, when it exists.

I spent the past 3 days, including today, writing a long list of notes for my comic idea. I think it's coming along fine, though I really should focus on the characters right now. If I can do them right, the comic will right itself. The tricky part is making sure they don't wind up exactly like the cast from my previous comic idea...

@CanisWolfred: That is awesome to hear! Hope the comic turns out well.

At this point, I'm more hoping that it's something I can finish, rather that something I can do well. My last project didn't even make it past the first set of Test pages, so I want something I can at least start, and I'll be leaving some openings here and there, so I can bail if things really turn south. But I guess it's better to hope that it turns out fine.

School starting is your positive? Aren't you old enough to drink alcohol in Australia? lol

@Caniswolfred You're so right. It's better to be finished than anything else. Just remember that nothing is all that great the first time (despite what movies about people writing try to tell you). Ernest Hemingway has a quotation about first drafts. It is not appropriate to write on this forum, but looking it up might be inspirational.

My life has slowly but surely been getting more positive, at least in terms of my outlook on it. And my friend, who just got a job (get this, at a dog kennel, but not the one I was fired from), is going to put in a good word for me, so hopefully I'll be able to work again sometime soon. Plus it'll be like a second chance at something I love doing.

That, and I'm all around more happy as a whole.

I got New Super Luigi U today, and the box is absolutely beautiful. I honestly haven't been this excited to play a "New Super X" game since the original NSMB!

I've never been good at understanding quotes, but I did find a very helpful explanation of that quote, thank you.

@Caniswolfred No problem. Writing and drawing aren't easy, at the best of times. Just keep the faith that you're as good as anyone else, practice all the time, read obsessively, and you'll get there!

Reading obsessively I can do, and I'll have plenty of time to practice soon. It's the faith part I'll probably have to work hardest on.
