It would be a two-way tie between Studio Pierrot "Bleach, and the Naruto/Shippuden series" and Clamp Studios "Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicles, XXXHolic, and Magic Knight Rayearth to name a few" What's your favorite developer and why?
GAINAX. Despite its uneven output over the years, it has produced a number of genuine modern classics. The first half of Kare Kano, Gunbuster, Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, and The Wings of Honneamise I would put up as some of the greatest anime I've seen since the 1980s.
Honestly, I don't like most of Ghibli's works either. Less because they're bad and more just...not my thing. Like, I respect Ghibli and Miyazaki, but outside of 3 movies...they don't really do much for me. I like them best when they're just trying to tell a nice story in an interesting and fleshed-out world and not just "lets see how creative and eccentric we can make our movie, guys!!!" because the latter tends to just confuse the **** out of me...Kiki's Delivery Service? Golden. Howl's Moving Castle? What the hell did I just watch?! (For the third time!!!)
Granted, that's why I don't like movies in general. Too little time and not enough focus. Hell, if a 13 episode series can't get the point across more than half the time, a 2-hour movie is clearly not enough to tell a complex story unless you really know what you're doing (like Summer Wars, where they had a lot of plot points that could've been addressed in a longer series, but instead they existed to emphasize the main idea of family and be a visual metaphore for what the characters are going through).
At best, if I like more than half of a studio's output and outright hate less than a third, and I've seen more than 3 or 4 of their series, I think it's safe to say they're among my favorites. Sunrise probably still gets the gold, but their $#!+-level series are piling up these days...they may not hold the title for long unless they clean up their act...
i love all peter chung's stuff esp. aeon flux. and ghost in the shell first movie and S.A.C.

Probably Bones. Like even for their anime I don't care about, they are just really nice to look at and enjoyable in general. Which I guess is true for Ghibli obviously but I'm somewhat on the same boat as Canis, if a bit kinder. And Spirited Away is in my like top 5 movies...
I can't say I really have one. While I do like watching some anime, anime studios tend to add in a lot of unnecessary filler (In the case of Naruto), or just completely change the series halfway in (Looking at you, Soul Eater).
"Little by little. Each day as it comes. That's how we should live."
It's hard to say because any studio is going to have a huge pile of stinkers alongside their greats, especially the giants like Sunrise, Production IG, and Madhouse. Given that, I would probably have to say a smaller studio like Shaft, Bones, or Ufotable, because I find their work more consistently good.
But yeah, objectively, it's Studio Ghibli and it isn't even close. It isn't even really fair to include them.

You know, I remember thinking I'd be a big fan of Shaft, but in the end I only enjoyed 3, maybe 5 series from them at a stretch. And they have a lot more I really don't like, such as Dance in the Vampire Bund...
Bones would probably be among my favorites, but a lot of their stuff is on my "I really should watch this" list...whereas I've only actually seen 3 of their series (and enjoyed all 3). Oh no wait, they did Noragami, too. I did not like that one...
I have never seen a Ufotable anime....I should fix that someday...not a lot of them stand out to me, though. Just the Fate stuff.
Madhouse is very close. Out of 180(!!!) animated works, I've seen over 40 of them, and enjoyed more than half of those works. There are about 30 I'm interested in seeing, as well. That's over 1/3 all together.
I'm actually surprised how little I've seen of Production IG. Out of 80 works (at least 10 of which are Ghost in the Shell-related), I've seen only a dozen of them, 8 of which I enjoyed - two are on my favorites list and 4 others are close. There are another dozen or so that I'm interested in watching, but there's a lot more if I get into those franchises. They probably could be a favorite studio of mine if I actually saw some of their more popular works...
Yet again, Sunrise still probably wins out for me. They have waaay too many series for me to sort through, but I can already tell just by glancing over it that I've most likely seen roughly half of them, and enjoyed the majority of those works, especially the older ones. They used to be a superstar studio, man...
...and yes, I did just go through all the studios Meths mentioned, since it was easier than going through my favorite anime and figuring out what studios made them...
